Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Wow what a day yesterday was. I knew we had to lay off 3 people in my dept. With the union contract the employees can bump people with lower seniority and pay grade. It becomes a HUGE challenge.
Luckily yesterday went smoothly. two senior people volunteered to retire/layoff. Laid 2 additional people off and one manager quit. It was suck a crazy day! It actually went a lot smoother than we all imagined.
I had an employee talking crap about me and the department prior to her retiring. She is upset how things don't change around here. I told my boss I have made lots of changes in 6 months and she hasn't ever come to with issues. How can I change something if you don't tell me. I have to deal with her and her negative attitude for the next 3 weeks. 
I brought cookies for everyone today to hopefully brighten the mood. TGIF!!!!!!!!

Well, Im glad that it went smoother than you thought it would. Ugh, sorry you have to deal with negative nancy for 3 weeks but thankfully it is only three weeks and she's gone!
