Sad to be going on vacation (vent and whine)
I know it sounds silly to be saying that, especially since we are going back to Maui...for free! But I had all these hopes that I was going to lose 10% of my body weight by the time we went and I'm still the same size from when we went in October. It makes me so sad and I already feel so uncomfortable in all these summer clothes I just bought. And to top it off, I'm still scared to fly there

OK, first: I hate you.
Second: totally kidding! And I can understand about being disappointed in how you feel (for me, body image is more of an emotional thing - I feel less confident and happy when I feel uncomfy and overweight).
I know it sounds trite, but I'm sure you'll have a good time anyway! Just drink lots of Lava Flows...rum will definitely help.

i know that you feel self conscious but trust me, you are still beautiful and look great
plus there are always women on the beach that shouldn't be in bikinis that people are paying more attention to and you are definitely not one of them!

Thank you ladies for all your kind words and support. I know I really shouldn't be feeling this way, especially knowing this will be the last time we go to Maui for a while. I know I should be enjoying this special time and need to be changing my mindset here...it's Maui for goodness sake!!!!

I felt that way when we went to Hawaii so I know how you feel. (We just got back 2 weeks ago.) Once I got there though and started to get a bit of color in my skin, I felt a bit better.
Just remember to relax and have a great time! Hawaii is always wonderful. I am totally jealous.
