what do you mean "Boston Marathon"?!?!

sigh...my OB is apparently out of town a lot. She was gone last week. Will be gone the 17-19th to support her DH running the Boston Marathon (but back in time for my EDD on the 20th)...and leaving again a week later for another vacation.

!?!? I think I'm supposed to be having a baby in there somewhere.

Luckily...I like the other doctor and the hospital. Crossing my fingers.

Re: what do you mean "Boston Marathon"?!?!

  • holy cow!! So what happens if she's out of town? You know there has been patients that went into labor while she was OOT. Are there other doc's in the practice?

  • How are you doing over thhheeree? :) i'm all ready... just waiting and waiting and waiting and anticipating the pain and arrival... ahahha I keep thinking "maybe today is the day!"

  • There are three delivering docs in my clinic (I've met the guy and really like him, but not the other female doctor)...and they rotate with some other "on call" docs at other nearby clinics. Worst case, I get an on call doc at the hospital I guess :

Ugh...I'm ready too! I'm still working just to pass the time, but I feel like I'm just holding my breath and over analyzing every contraction and Braxton.  I don't think there is much progress happening though.  :P

im working too... my last day is April 16th! :( And yeah, I feel your pain i'm overanalyzing stuff too.. the only progress i've made is 2cm dialated and she said his head is very low so hopefully soon and hopefully when I'm home and not at work! eeek!

  • WOW she is gone A LOT!!!!!
  • I have a hunch Pammy will go first! Party!!!

My docs won't do internals until 40weeks+...so I don't have any dilation or position info. It sounds like you are progressing good though!

  • i was so bummed out my doctor was out of town when I went into labor 2 weeks early...especially since I ended up with a C. I had never met the doctor who delivered me...I don't know if it was the pain meds or what, but the doc had a funny accent and he reminded me of the crazy chef guy from the muppets! Me no likey...
