**Bump update and Braxton Hicks**

As of this week, I'm 28 weeks, (7 months) and I'm in utter disbelief at how quickly my pregnancy has gone. So far, I've been feeling overall strong and healthy as I walk on my lunch hour in the city anywhere from 8 to 22 blocks! (So far, I've only gained 11 pounds). But, I did have a health scare last month, where after seeing my OB for a routine visit, my blood pressure at the top number was a whopping 164. It was enough for her to admit me right away into labor/delivery at the same hospital I will be delivering at, and run tests. Thankfully, the results of everything was normal, although they suspected I was developing preeclampsia. But, it was still enough prompting for my tough-talking Polish OB, to put me on high blood pressure medicine, although I protested. Since being on the medicine, I do feel better and realize those tension headaches were more than just hormonal, but caused by my rising blood pressure. It was such an alarming experience, but DH and I got through it and I quickly realized to prevent the premature birth our baby girl, the small pressure pills are worth it.

We're so excited for the arrival of our lil miss "sweet pea"  that every weekend we're running around buying baby stuff, and DH is too adorable with the way he holds up little girl infant clothes and checks them out, almost the way a woman would shop, and ask me what I think! Big Smile It's a shame that even still in utero, sweet pea has managed to be the ultimate daddy's little girl and have her tiny infant fingers wrapped around his huge one! But, with a combo of still working full time in the city, commuting the hour from Throgs Neck in the Bronx, and running around with DH has also been enough for my OB to tell me to slow it down some and get more rest, which I'm gladly trying to do more of!

With my due date of June 30th looming, it's amazing that DH and his brother and sister all had dreams sweet pea arrived between 1-3 weeks early. Plus my next door neighbor said the same! The irony is even before their dreams, I had a feeling she may arrive a little early, but I'm just praying I'm not at work at the time! My last date in the office is June 25th, which just happens to be and DH's 5th wedding anniversary! We're betting she'll make her grand entrance around then.

As for the Braxton Hicks, getting off the train, I had this tightness in my lower abdomen, that eased up so quickly when I had to begin walking. I wasn't sure at first, but now I am. For some of you mommies already, how did you know when you experienced the Hicks and distinguished them from the real thing?

Since it seems like I'm the next in line within our board baby boom after Liza, I created a website at totsites.com, where I have pictures and journal entries posted. Feel free to take a look at

More to come soon!!

  • I'll be definitely resting up girl, with a good snack! Have a good weekend :)
  • I didn't have any braxton hicks, so I can't help there, but definitely take it easy and put your feet up in the evenings.  Let DH wait on you at home, I did :)

I went to L&D around 36 weeks for tests, it was amazing how real being there made the baby feel! I can't believe you are due so soon, time really does fly and fly and fly.

  • I'm glad to hear all is well and DEFINITELY rest up! It's important that you take it easy for yours and babies health. =)

The website is so cute...I keep saying I need to start a book or something to keep track of things. =/
