It's the little things that amuse me

This morning I sent some documents off in an intra-office envelope that has been circulating around the company since 1999.

And that amused me.

Anyone else want to share their little amusement of the day / week?

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Smile

Re: It's the little things that amuse me

  • Glad u had some amusement!  I wish I had any amusement at all!  I'll take anything!  Thats how much I love my job Indifferent

  • I'm basically playing on the interwebs until my meeting at 1pm. I am debating having ice cream for lunch, but I may wait and bring ice cream home to the fam instead :-/ decisions, decisions.
  • My big project this week is rather boring (fact-checking a directory of colleges and universities across the country), but in the big list I come across strange school and city names that make me laugh. Read these with the mind of a 13-year-old boy (which is what I swear I have sometimes)

    Franenklust Township

    Friends University (think abbreviation...)

    Longwood University

Dull Knife College (granted, it's named after a Native American Chief, but I kept thinking "the place to go if you're not the sharpest knife in the drawer...")

And then there are the random beauty schools that get into my list when they shouldn't be...

    Stacey's Hands of Champions

Butte Academy of Beauty Culture (anything with "Butte" in it, really, is cause for giggles, even though I know how it's pronounced)

Mr Leon's School of Hair Design

  • I was talking to a co-worker this morning and mentioned that I have an 11 mile run first thing tomorrow morning. To which he replied 'I'll be thinking of you when I'm in bed.'

We both know he meant 'in bed sleeping' but it came out wrong. He turned Embarrassed and walked away .

Hilarious - I have had stuff like this happen a lot lately.

  • I went to a luncheon and got to watch the Democratic candidates for KY Senator debate. VERY entertaining.
  • I had to go to a meeting in Columbus today.  A state trooper passed me (and I was speeding so he was going really fast!) while yacking on his cell.  That stuff always makes me want to stick my tongue out at them!

lol!  this reminds me of when my boss walked into work one morning and the first thing she said was "Christine!  I was thinking of you in the shower this morning...".  It had to do with something she was supposed to follow up on and I know what she meant but it was moderately creepy lol.  She's actually done it twice now...
