We are planning on changing out all of our keyed entries soon and I have a question. How do you get them all keyed the same? They obviously don't come keyed the same.
Re: Keyed Lock Question
We've only ever bought our locks from Home Depot, so everything has been different.
Are you planning on doing this yourself or getting a Lock Smith to do this? I would probably call a Lock Smith and ask if this is a possibility. I have no clue.

We recently had to replace all of our door knobs and dead bolts in the house as the previous owners were criminals.
We went to Rona and bought all new keyed locks and they take them out of the package to key them to be the same. No extra cost as long as you buy product from them.
Unfortunately, my Rona was not too good as keying the locks the same so we have to take them back in to be redone but on the second try they got it right.
We did our doors shortly after we moved in. We got everything at Home Depot and if the boxes for the locks have the same code on them, they're keyed alike, or the guy at Home Depot would have done it for us.
Also, we got Weiser locks, and they have a feature where you can set what the key is yourself (say you're going on vacation and you want to give someone a key to water the plants/feed the cat, you can key your lock to their house key).
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
Typically you need a locksmith to that kind of work. My uncle is a locksmith so he did all of our locks, and it took him 3 hours to install them! It would have taken me days! lol You may want to consider hiring someone, even if you are a big DIYer.
