Andrew and I went to one of my college friend's weddings last night. We were sat by a couple at our table that we thought was wierd right off the bat. The wife was wearing jeans, a sweater, and a pageboy cap. Her husband was wearing white linen pants, and some wierd looking tatooed shirt. They were very WT. Well they were just odd all night. He would make random coments trying to be funny, but not at all, and she would laugh hysterically. For example, the best man got up to make a speech and he said "Hi, I'm so and so the best man here to give my speech" and wierdo next to me would yell "ha ha SPEECH" and wifey would proceed to laugh embarassingly loud. Then the bride and groom walked over to our table and instead of staying to greet them, they took off for the buffet line. They ate dinner, gathered all their belongings and favors and left. Then ten minutes later we see them up next to the wedding presents looking at all of them. A chick at my table made a comment "I hope they aren't stealing gifts" literally just as I was saying the same thing. That was pretty funy. Then they came back twenty minutes later (mind you neither one of them had been drinking) and were even more obnoxious. The husband put a water bottle in his mouth and threw his head around side to side while his wife laughed and clapped him on. Right after that Andrew sent me a text message to tell me they were coked out of their mind. Andrew saw white powder all over their nostrils and upper lip, which they used a linen napkin dipped in water to wipe off. I really had to fight the urge to take a picture of them. If you saw my FB post last night about writing a book on etiquette I was totally referring to them. It was so odd!
Re: Wow-wierd couple at a wedding
I was totally about to say halfway through - they had to have been intoxicated with something!
Weird, why are people like that??
Wow, I would have asked the B&G if they were wedding crashers. I would be havin a serious talkin with whom ever decided they got an invite.
Though I did have a cousin that I had to invite to our wedding that I was concerned about. He made a HUGE scene at his brothers wedding after spilling an entire glass of champange on the brides satin/silk wedding gown during his speech. He was carried out of the reception (in a small resturant with other patrons) by his 3 other brothers screaming obsentities at the B&G. Thank God, my brothers and other cousin were on "Jason duty".
