I had a really quiet, but really productive weekend! I finished two more hats, half my mother's day gift, and a vest for me:

I'm so excited about it that I wore it to work today. It was my first successful attempt at steeks and probably the hardest pattern I've ever completed, yay!
I also have some lovely cotton on the way for some fruity baby hats/booties. I'm thinking lots of berries...

Re: Knitting Update
You are so talented! Everything you make looks amazing!
Can't wait to see the fruity baby hats and booties! (The thought of berries is making me hungry for some... yum.)

Too cool!
You just reminded me to have my grandmother teach me (again) how to crochet.
Do it! Then you'll be prepared to make some booties and washcloths when "the water" finally kicks in.
Dvshaw - What kind of projects have you been working on? Where do you want to improve? There are all kinds of great resources on the internet and in LYS's that can get you going.

My Blog!
I hear you on that one. It's really hard to learn from books. There are lots of videos on youtube that might be more helpful. Or if you need questions answered in person, I would go to a local yarn shop or sometimes big craft stores like Michael's has classes. I would love to show you, but Daytona is a little too far.
I think quilting is a little easier to pick up from books. There are some really beautiful patterns out there. I tried it for a while, I just like the portability and versatility of knitting.
