Hey guys... long time no see...Still juggling a billion hours at work, and rode 67 miles on my bike yesterday.
DH seriously sucks! So, I've been planning his Top Secret 40th Birthday trip to Vegas for like 6 months- I have most of it paid for. He normally ignored the finances, but we're putting in a(another ) offer on a house, so all of the sudden he wants full financial disclosure. This all comes up after I got off the bike, and while I'm still trying to gobble down some post-ride soup. I'm so pisst I can't stand it. Now he's all excited that we're going to Vegas, when I personally could just cancel the whole trip, told me we couldn't go out to breakfast, and I've totally wasted my 2nd Sunday off in 6 months....I really hope he gets eaten my a dragon while pe plays his online game....I'm now drinking champagne, nursing achy muscles, and shooting him death glares whenever I get the chance. The irony? It's 1 in 1 million that we'll get the house....
Thanks for listening....
Re: I don't like you, and fork your birthday...
So the subject of your post refers to your husband, not me, right?
I hate when surprises get ruined! Especially when it is something as exciting as surprise get away! I hope you two have fun nonetheless and don't cancel your trip!!!
Congrats on riding 67 miles- what an accomplishment!
I totally hear you on the house front. We have been looking and making offers since November. We finally have a little bit on movement on one of our offers so fingers crossed. Just try to be patient if you can. I think the housing market in CA is astonishingly competitive right now. Best of luck on finding your dream home.
Thanks ladies! Karen, I sparkly heart you all, and yeah, it was DH (for Dumb Husband) I was so angry at.
It just sucked that 6 months worth of planning blew up. It ruined my weekend (my 2nd one off in 7 moths) and I was psst.
I'm feeling better today, but am still pretty miffed; I told DH it would just take a while.
Nicole- We've been looking for a year, and this will be our "lucky 13th" offer (not including all the near misses!) I'm just out of SF, and the California market is red hot for anything with 4 walls and a roof. I'll think happy thoughts for ya.
