My brain is bored. I have things to do but not much to think about. I used to think about the wedding like 24/7, now there isn't anything.
We are going to be moving next weekend to a new apartment which is super exciting. The one we have now has a ridiculously small kitchen that aggravates us daily. New one will be open and spacious, yay!
I'm also working on thank you cards. I thought etiquette said you had 2 months but I googled it and a couple sites say 1 month!! Yikes! And it said something about 2 weeks on gifts you received before the wedding. I feel horrible. I think we still have about 30 to go. Blah. Oh well, it could be worse!
What's going on with you?
Re: What's going on with you now?
Everything I've read says 2 months, although, technically, I think the knot said a year?!?! I've got half of mine done (of about 150! Yikes!) but I haven't mailed any yet. It also doesn't help that I lost about $26 worth of stamps some place between the new apartment and my mom's house. =[
I'm working on unpacking, still, but it's almost done! I told DH I wanted to have the apartment ready for an "apt warming" this weekend... But now I'm realizing that just can't happen this weekend for time restraints. It's incredibly relieving to be able to see the floor again, though!
Occupying most of my time right now, though, are a few family situations. They seem to suck up any energy that I would've been able to pour into the wedding beforehand!
P.S. When you finish your 30, wanna come help me? =] =] =]
DH and I got a new puppy after the wedding so he takes up a lot of our time, we've been wanting one for a long time but decided to wait until after the chaos of the wedding to get it.
I've been trying to get refocused in the work world but I just can't seem to do it! I come to the office and my mind goes everywhere but where I want it to be!
I was sick from work one day and decided that was thank you card day. I knocked them ALL (100+) out and rewarded myself with a movie night afterwards. Now it's just writing them as gifts arrive. (I'm amazed they are still coming!) Hang in there ladies, it's a great feeling when they are done!
oyy! we have to start on our thank you notes...we ordered stationery, and it arrived the other day. at least I have the spreadsheet updated!
we listed our house for sale on Monday...we're hoping to re-locate to Florida (palm beach area) by the end of the year. I bought the house high in 2006, but I think with the small loss I expect, I'll make it up double-fold in Florida. You can literally get a McMansion for 1/2 the price of what my 1/2-size house in NJ is listed for....that's how saturated the market is down there
getting ready for a big trade show that will take place in Lexington, KY in a few days...lots of preparation for that.
honeymoon is definitely over...things are moving so quickly in the life-arena. cannot believe we've been married over a month!
I got my thank you cards done last weekend, a total side benefit of having a tiny guest list!
On the down side, I came back to a huge pile of work at my office. I work in a law firm and have a backlog of motions to file that have been stacking up since last fall. Ick. My goal in life now is get as most of those done before our mini-moon next month.
Hope married life is suiting everyone!

We just got back from our HM yesterday! We had moved into a new townhouse before we left so the next few weeks will be trying to get settled. It will be nice to not have to think about wedding things anytime soon! My H will be training around the clock for the next 8 weeks until CFL training camp starts in June so that is really our biggest focus for now!
I have to finish our TY for gifts from before the wedding (not shower) and I am waiting for the pro-pics so we can have cards made before I start the ones from the wedding!

TTC on hold until December
Well we've been back from our honeymoon for about a week now. We went to Key West and had a fabulous time (I really want to live there one day!), not to mention that our wedding day was pretty darn awesome (good weather in KY). Got back and things have been a bit stressful mainly due to getting the gift list together (didn't have time to do it before we left). Apparently I messed up and forgot to write down a couple and we already cashed all of the checks so I'm not sure if some people actually sent something or not but I guess we'll just send a thank you anyway...?
Just went to SS and got my name changed today and so we'll wait til I get the card back to do everything. Other than that, we're looking for a new place to live, don't know if we're going to buy a house (it's scary, and I know nothing about buying a house) before the tax credit thing is up. Also gearing up to start residency. Nonetheless, it's been busy. Hopefully it'll calm down soon. I do know that I'll be writing thank you notes for a long time. :P
We actually did all of our thank you notes as we recieved the gifts, and then the gifts we recieved at the wedding, we wrote the thank you notes the day after (which sucked), but it's nice to have them all done. We're starting to house hunt, but nothing too serious yet.
It's weird to have all this extra free time, but I'm sure I can fill in the gaps with finishing up my masters and going to the driving range
