AYKM? Way to start the day...
Ok, so my Dad works in a refinery in St. Charles Parish. It's rare that something goes wrong but when it does, it can be catastrophic. So, I see on WAFB's tweets this morning that they report an "incident" happened at Dow in Norco and River Road was closed. Dad works in Norco...so I'm like *** OMG. I call him..he doesn't answer. He calls me back and I ask if he's OK..he's like uhm yeah why? I told him what I read and he goes oh, Dow isn't near Norco...other side of the river. I got to work fine (he takes River Road).
Is it bad that I want to strangle WAFB for listing the WRONG city? @sshats!

I didn't know your dad worked at Dow. My dad worked at the one in Plaquemine (as did I before I moved). DH worked at Dow St. Charles for a few months as a contractor.

Yeah, I completely understand! I worry about Dow in Plaquemine all the time. If something happened there....well it'd be really bad for a widespread area!
My boss's husband works there too. She was frantic this morning
