The Bullock Trade

So on one of my blogs that I read... it mentioned this NYT article that examines what it means to be happy. It's a really interesting read, so I thought I would pass it along.

Here is a quote "Marital happiness is far more important than anything else in determining personal well-being. If you have a successful marriage, it doesn?t matter how many professional setbacks you endure, you will be reasonably happy. If you have an unsuccessful marriage, it doesn?t matter how many career triumphs you record, you will remain significantly unfulfilled."

Now that we're all at about 6 months of marriage... I think this is something to reflect on. Enjoy the article! http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/30/opinion/30brooks.html

  • My boss sent the link to that article around for all of us to read, it's a great read.

Sounds like you have a great boss! My boss would hide this from us... as in you don't need a life, go do science.

I am VERY lucky, I have a great boss, actually our whole management team is awesome; they definitely understand and promote a healthy work/life balance!
