So on one of my blogs that I read... it mentioned this NYT article that examines what it means to be happy. It's a really interesting read, so I thought I would pass it along.
Here is a quote "Marital happiness is far more important than anything else in determining personal well-being. If you have a successful marriage, it doesn?t matter how many professional setbacks you endure, you will be reasonably happy. If you have an unsuccessful marriage, it doesn?t matter how many career triumphs you record, you will remain significantly unfulfilled."

Sounds like you have a great boss! My boss would hide this from us... as in you don't need a life, go do science.
I am VERY lucky, I have a great boss, actually our whole management team is awesome; they definitely understand and promote a healthy work/life balance!
