AW - Our Anniversary Celebration
On
Sunday we had a private chef cook dinner for us at our house. The
dinner was really good. We had avocado salad, zucchini wrapped
asparagus, stuffed mushrooms, stuffed red snapper as an entree and rum
cake for dessert. Here are pics If you'd
like to try this chef. His name is Chef Dozia.
After dinner I gave him his gift. I gave him a Hillman College t-shirt (the fictional college from the show A Different World). When I saw the gift he gave me on Friday I told him that his gift was a lot smaller so he jokingly said that I better go out and find a new one on Saturday. He LOVED the shirt! He loves that show and is into cool shirts so he was really happy.
After dinner we were stuffed so we decided to take a walk around the neighborhood. We walked and talked about how happy we are and some of the things we want in the future together. After our walk we sat in our family room and looked at our wedding album. We reminisced about our wonderful wedding day. Later we watched Treme, the new series on HBO about post Katrina New Orleans. It was really good! It will be our new Sunday night show.
On Monday we woke up to calls from our parents wishing us a happy anniversary. That was so sweet of them. My mom even sent us a card with some $$ in it! We took the day off from work so we had breakfast at our favorite place then had a mini spa day. We had a couples massage and got manicures. We were so relaxed afterward! Unfortunately I had to go to class later so that sort of ended our celebration. I was pleasantly surprised when I got home from class to find a bouquet of stargazer lilies (my favorite) and a new tube of my favorite scent (lemon grass) on the oil warmer. It was an anniversary to remember...

It all sounds great but I am totally stuck on the Hillman T-shirt. I LOVE a Different World!! I had the Dwayne Wayne sunglasses and wore them everywhere and I wanted to be just like Jaleesa. She was such a awesome tough chick.

how was it having a chef in the house for the dinner? was it strange or awesome? would you do it again?
It wasn't strange at all. The chef was really nice and when we wanted to talk to him we did. When we wanted to talk to each other he didn't interrupt us. He wasn't in the room with us the whole dinner. The best part was after he left my kitchen was cleaner than when he came! LOL
