Date Nights

My husband and I like to take one night a week and just spend time together or go out on a date. We would like to go out more often, but it gets expensive. Are there any inexpensive ways to have a good time together while still going out?

Re: Date Nights

  • Sure there is.  Locate inexpensive things in your town, or even free events.  Concerts, go to the beach, go hiking, look up free passes to museums/zoo's from the library or even just take a walk around your neighborhood.  For us we enjoy taking our dogs for a walk a few days a week, doesn't cost anything and in the summer there are nightly events at the beach that are free.

  • Go to Thrillist.com and sign up for your city.  They send you cheap and new things to do in your local area every few days.

    New resturants, activities, etc.

  • Bowling (on specials night)

    Roller Skating

    Picnic in the park

    Museums/Art shows

    Matinee Movie

Festivals/Free concerts (if your area does them)

  • We have one of those Entertainment Coupon Books and we try the ones where we only have to pay for one person BOGO Free. That helps alot.

  • We either go out to dinner and then rent a movie or go to an early movie, then come home and cook dinner together.
