So I got stuck planning a b-party for a friend in a city I don't even live in anymore, her MOH is a brat, 2 bm live out of state and the other 2 locals don't really help unless finding me phone numbers to call is called help. I grew up in cincy but reside in columbus, while I know i'm not far,but realistically i'm not local either. This planning has been a nightmare because the bride has switched spots each time and i'm getting frustrated on hotels in area. i know a lot of cincy hotels make you pay for parking, but for downtown cincy what are good hotels to stay in for starting out at b-parties that are under $175/night and parking is either free or minimum?
TIA! and sorry for vent.. ![]()
Re: Need Hotel Rec's for DT cincy for B-party-TIA
you will not find free or minimal parking downtown unless you park on the street. Even the flat city lots run about 20.00 a night.
For a bach. party I would recommend the Garfield Suites. It is not the best hotel, but it is inexpensive and you can pack people in the rooms. Other than that I would say the millennium.
I'll second Garfield Suites - they have multiple bedroom suites with living rooms and kitchens. My brother stays there when he comes to town and he likes it.
I would go on priceline and select a 4 star hotel. The only 4 stars that priceline uses in DT Cincy are the Westin, Hyatt and Millennium. (DH called to verify before he book to make sure we would be staying somewhere nice and this is what he was told) We have never paid over $65 including tax and have stayed at the Hyatt twice and Westin once by booking on priceline.
Parking is $15-20 at all 3 of these hotels, but with the cheap room you still wouldn't be over budget. HTH!
If you plan to use the room for pre and/or post party, I agree with the recs for the Garfield. I think they do still ahve a $5 lot just a block away (several of my OOT guests used it for our wedding). the rooms are great for stuffing more people in since they have a seperate living area. They also use a shuttle for airport service, if you need it. Just call them and they will help set it up for you.
Otherwise, go on hotwire.com and get cheap rooms. I really like the Hilton Netherland Plazas Jr. Suites since they are quite large and they have a great hotel bar to start or finish the night. But, this hotel like most others, is difficult to get more than 2-4 in for sleeping.
My sister always stays at the Westin and prefers it to other hotels. It's connected to Palomino's (great happy hour) and Havanna Martini Club. And, of course, they have the Heavenly Bed. GL!

I don't have any hotel recs, but I just wanted to add, that if you'll be there on the weekend, the Fountain Square garage is usually only around $5. It's until 11am the following day, but you could take your car out and go back in for another $5. Here's the website http://www.myfountainsquare.com/garage
ETA: It looks like my rates were a little off, but they are still cheaper on the weekends and within walking distance of most of the downtown hotels.
