Baby's 1st birthday gift ideas
Now I know all you ladies always have fabulous an unique ideas for gifts or just about anything
My little nephew is turning 1 while we are in Maui and sadly won't be able to be there for his 1st birthday and I'm wanting to mail out something before we head out.
What are some ideas to get a 1 year old for his birthday? I am pretty clueless at what to get kids/babies. Any help would be soooooo appreciated
TIA!

Good question
Personally I am thinking of asking guests NOT to give gifts because we have so many toys! It is absolutely ridiculous! Clothes, on the other hand would be a good gift because she is growing like a weed.
Other things I personally wouldn't mind receiving would be: books, Disney DVDs (just to start a collection!), toddler pool/bathing suit set, those tent/ball things. If he's not walking, maybe one of those push-walkers?
With that being said, we're going to a 1st birthday party at the end of the month and we bought him toys

I usually buy either clothes or books - that's just because as fun as toys are, most of the time kids already have a bajillion of them by the time they hit one! I have been known to buy really obnoxious and noisy toys for a child of someone I don't like though (hey, the kid loved them, it just made the parent crazy!).
You can always just ask the parents, too - I've done this before if I'm really not certain: "Hey, what would be good to give little Johnny for his birthday? I was going to buy a toy but didn't know if you already had a ton...would some clothes be better, or something else?" I've never had anyone react badly to that.
