Thank you to everybody for all of the well-wishes, advice, letting me vent, etc. on our big day this past Saturday. Everything was absolutely perfect. The weather was amazing and truly nothing really went wrong. Everything came together exactly as I had pictured it, only a million times better. My family was amazing, working tirelessly all day to pull together my vision and all the projects they'd been helping with for months to make an absolutely amazing, beautiful, fabulous affair. And now I'm married to my best friend and settling into wifedom and living with another person for the first time in 5 years (and first man in about 18). I had to come back to work today, which sucks, but I get to go home to my husband!
It was also a truly Nest-tastic day. I hired Libby for the photos, plus a second shooter, who just so happened to be the infamous MC! I told her I felt like I was meeting a Nest celebrity. I've only seen one pic so far, but I could tell that that they are going to be amazing.
MonieJoy, being the awesome friend that she is, acted as the day-of coordinator and did the most fabulous job. The timing of various things was a big deal and she ran it so smoothly. I don't know what would have happened without her there.
LonghornBabe (Kim) did the cakes. They were (still are, I had some for lunch) SO delicious and moist. Red velvet and Italian cream for the bridal cake and dark chocolate mint with ganache for the groom's cake. The bridal cake is exactly what I pictured, down to the tiniest detail and she surprised me by doing a sculpted piano for the groom's cake, since we thought it was just going to have keys on it. It was spot on. The cakes were one of the least of my concerns at the start and they totally ended up being one of my absolute favorite parts and made me cry when I saw them.
CollieJade, also being an amazing friend did makeup. I felt amazing and she did a beautiful job, but it was what she did for my mom that was really the best. Its really not fair how gorgeous she looked on "my day!" I know she has struggled with feeling attractive as she feels she's aged a lot in the past few years and I know that she felt as beautiful as she looked, which was just priceless.
Here are a few non-pro pics from the day. I tried to make the links clickable, hope it works.

E, I'm SO happy for you! It was an absolute pleasure making you beautiful, and as rushed as it was, I'm SERIOUS about naming that look after you. It was one of a kind.
Congratulations!!! You looked amazing ... and so did everything else!
I felt the same way about cakes, no big deal. Then when they arrived, I was just amazed! Who knew cakes could be so important? And Kim did a GREAT job on yours!
I love that you giggle when you type "DH" ... can you do that every day? Hehe
