He's Back In The Country...
...now we just gotta get this bicoastal thing worked out.
Hopefully we get the OK to do the move soon. Can't tell you how ready I am to be there already. I wasn't able to be there for their arrival, but will see him later this month when he comes east.

Thanks everyone. What's weird is that I'm finding it harder to have him be in the country than to be underway*. I think its because, in theory, we could be together now. Plus we're dealing with a 3 hour time difference and his adjustment back to real life after being underway for months. That and I'm transitioning from having to be both of us responsibility-wise to handing things off to him...and he's getting that transition on the other end in addition to being in a new place geographically.
Looking forward to the visit, but looking forward even more to moving already. So ready to be back with my H and moving forward with our lives instead of waiting and seeing where we'll be going and when. The limbo of the last 6 months or so has been something else...
(ETA: *I want to specify that he was underway and not deployed to a war zone as that whole sentence would completely not apply if he had been in harms way.)

Yeah, last night I called him while he was out running errands (roughly 7pm for him). He didn't understand why I didn't call later on, when he was settled in for the evening. My response, "Well, I'm on my way to bed and wanted to talk to you first." He's still wrapping his head around us not being in the same time zone anymore. I think he's been in 3 timezones in the last week, so I'll give him a pass for yesterday. Still adjusting to the real world, for sure.
I'll keep you in mind for a secret spy, but I think we'll be good. And yeah, the phone calls are nice. Also nice is that HE can book a car for our shared travel and that HE can do research on B&Bs for us to stay at. Well, at least in the few days he's renting a room he can do these things easily. He's living on the ship till I get out there, so he's more motivated than I am to have the move happen.
