There is an elephant sanctuary in TN? Tell me about it!

Re: foto

  • Yeah!!! A lot of elephants come there after they work in the circus and are no longer wanted. It's really sad :( you should go on their website and read some of their stories- elephants.com  When I was in college I was apart of an animal activist group and we would give out information about circus abuse. It is so sad :( I will never set foot in one again.

It's nice though that they have a place that will take them in and let the live out the rest of their lives. I have always been fascinated with elephants, even though they are so huge they are sooo peaceful and smart. I would love to work with them. I read online they are looking for a new CEO lol but I doubt they'd hire me. :D

  • I went to the website, looks like a great place! And although I would LOVE to visit, I like that they don't really allow visitors... to keep it as a sanctuary. My MIL is OBSESSED with elephants, I'll have to tell her about it. I'm sure she'd be really interested in making a donation.
  • I know, I wish they would let people come visit and see the animals! I guess it would still be fun to go and volunteer. I bet it'd be fun to work there.
