Is anyone a recruiter or know of a recruiter?
Dh's job is losing his job on the 30th. His work brought him a resume service today and he can continue to use their resources. I know in this market and area we live in jobs are not easy to come by. I just thought I would ask. The one recruiter that contacted him and guarenteed him a job a couple years ago wanted $6000 to find him a job. Needless to say we didn't go with them. He has done title insurance for 15 years and has managed and done sales as well. thanks for any help or any job vibes you can give.
Re: Is anyone a recruiter or know of a recruiter?
Has he posted his resume on monster.com, etc.? I know it sounds cheesy but a ton of companies look at it (friend of ours just got hired by the biggest accting firm in the country after posting...though he could've just given his resume to Jeff...but I digress). Has he looked on craigslist? That's where I found my current teaching job bc they were a newer company. What about linkedIn? Is he a member? There are so many places online. Is he willing to do anything else right now just to pay the bills while he finds exactly what he's looking for? (Not sure if he is qualified for other areas of insurance since I'm not 100% sure what is required for title insurance...sorry!)
Sorry though...I don't know any recruiters in your area.
This is one firm that has contacted me in the past- they're mainly acctg/finance related, but I often see IT type jobs and see that they have a risk manager position listed right now. I'm not that familiar with title insurance vs. other types, but I know that our corporate risk manager came from a straight insurance background.

Also, ditto on the monster.com My DH has gotten his last 2 jobs from there- and he wasn't even looking to switch positions at the time.
Sending tons of job dust your DH's way.
He should try indeed.com, great site that one of our fabulous nesties pointed us to!
A headhunter found my dh's resume online too.....that is how he got employed so quick!
GL! We have no experience with recruiters, 6k sounds crazy though!
