Denver airport, I want to know...

If 2 hrs can go quick there. DH and I are stopped over (that the phrase?) there Sunday morning, and have about 2.5 hrs between flights. My parents say it's a nice airport. I'm wondering if I have to pack more activities in my carry on to burn time. Also, does my luggage get transferred or do I have to do anything? I've only ever done direct flights anywhere! Thanks!

Re: Denver airport, I want to know...

  • They will transfer your luggage. Hunny, let me tell ya...2 hrs in an airport isn't sh!t compared to the 30 I spent in LAX!!!! lol Just bring a couple magazines, maybe a game and you will be on the next plane before you know it!
  • Bring a laptop.  They have free wifi.  Some shopping, too.

  • oh, and as  long as you check your luggage all the way through to LAS in HOU, you don't have to do anything but pick them up in LAS.

Haha, oops. Forgot about your camp out at LAX! Good to know. The wifi thing is neat, we may bring our netbook!
  • It is nice.  I would bring something to do though (book, laptop, etc.).  There are restaurants and such in the middle of each concourse, but other then that it is calm!

  • From what I remember it was a really nice airport.  Lots of neat shops.  There was one shop with really pretty photo-art (journals, cards, pix in frames).

  • Besides after all that traveling, I'll have a wonderful dinner for the both of you planned on Sunday night!

Do you guys prefer wine or beer? We do both, or I do wine, and Eric does beer.

Yum! I do either, Don doesn't drink. But let me get a bottle of wine or a good 6 pack, you're making the dinner! What kind of wine? Or what kind of beer (darker, lighter, any particular import?)

Pick whatever you want - I like table wines, cabernet, zinfandels - anything is good to me as long it's red. Eric prefers hoppy beers/ales like Arrogant bastard, or Sam Adams. ;-)

  • Denver is a HUGE spread out airport. By the time you grab food & get to your gate you will be good.
