MIL's friend recently lost 20lbs in less than 2 months on this diet her doctor gave her! It was developed by a nutritionist and seems easy enough (to me). I'm getting groceries tomorrow and starting thursday. You eat a very specific diet for 3 days, then eat normally for 4 days (normally - not pig out). I'm pretty pumped to try it, hopefully this coupled with my running/exercise will get me some results and then I can maintain! I've been slacking lately and look/feel terrible
I'll let you all know how it goes if you're interested!
day 1
b: 1/2 grapefruit, 1 slice dry toast, 1 tbsp peanut butter
l: 1/2 cup tuna, 1 slice dry toast, coffee or tea (no sugar)
d: 1 cup beets, 1 cup green string beans, 4oz any meat, 1 small apple, 1 cup vanilla ice cream
day 2
b: 1 egg, 1 slice dry toast, 1/2 banana
l: 1 cup cottage cheese, 5 saltines
d: 2 hot dogs (no buns), 1 cup broccoli, 1 cup carrots, 1/2 banana, 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
day 3
b: 5 saltine crackers, 1 slice cheddar cheese, 1 small apple
l: 1 hard boiled egg, 1 slice dry toast
d: 1 cup tuna, 1 cup beets, 1 cup cauliflower, 1/2 banana or cantaloupe, 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
"obviously, not everything on this diet is appealing and you are probably going to feel hungry at times, but remember, you only have to stick to it for 3 days at a time, then you have 4 days to eat whatever you want. Eat everything listed and make absolutely no substitutions or additions. Salt & pepper may be used as desired but no other seasonings are permitted."
