Re: ?Mamas & Mamas to Be: Weekly Check-in?
(1) What week are you in/how old is your LO? Well, let's see. By my original due date, 37w 2d. By the ridiculous date that the hospital readjusted me to, 36w 3d. By the date that the hospital staff wrote down at my last visit, 37w exactly.
(2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share? I'm feeling VERY ready to not be pregnant anymore lol! Things have gotten a lot harder in the last week - I'm not sure why. But I can barely breathe (twins don't really drop, so I'm getting a ton of pressure on my lungs even when I'm sitting or standing, let alone lying down) and even just walking is becoming a struggle.
As far as news goes, I saw my OBGYN yesterday and basically had a mini-meltdown. I am just so insanely uncomfortable right now - in pain 24/7, etc. He comforted me by saying that at this stage, he's absolutely on the side of doing an induction next week (his actual words were that considering the state I'm in, it would be cruel to push it past that point), which is the best news I've heard in ages.
It's a bit of a tricky situation though - he can't actually order an induction because my care is shared equally by him and the high risk clinic at the hospital, so they both have to be in agreement. And then it gets tricky yet again because my actual doctor (who had mentioned an induction at 38w several times due to my GD) at the high risk clinic is on vacation, which means that I'm currently seeing whoever is filling in for him that week...and frankly, I think that none of them want to make a decision about this kind of thing. So wish me luck at my appointment with the clinic on Tuesday - if they are willing, I would most likely be induced either next Wed or Fri!!!
(3) Next appointment date? Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up? I have a checkup with my gestational diabetes doctor today and then the one with the high risk clinic next Tuesday.
(4) What is one BR thing that you learned this week? That the little buggers keep to their own schedule, regardless of how many doctors have other ideas. For example, NO ONE thought I'd still be pregnant at this stage, especially after my stay in the hospital and having to be on anti-contraction drugs for a while. And yet here I am, and the little guys show absolutely NO sign of wanting to vacate anytime soon.
(5) What do you wish you had known before going into pregnancy that you didn't know? I wish I knew about some of the weird little things that happen (like the insane amount of discharge some women get in the third tri, or the sudden and disgusting massive bouts of drooling in my sleep at night) - it wouldn't have changed anything, but knowing they were coming up would have been nice lol.
(6) Did you or are you planning on taking an infant CPR/first aid class? Yup, for both me and Ben. He'll take it first, and then I'll do it before he goes back to work (he has a month off after the babies are born - a week of paternity leave and then 3 weeks of vacation time). I've never done any kind of first aid class before, and knowing what to do will make me feel a lot more confident with being home with two babies.
(7) Do you have any favorite online resources for pregnancy/baby related info? Most of my resources are Australian, so they probably wouldn't be much use to anyone in the States (since a lot of my questions that I need to look for answers about are concerning how things work here lol). I do have a few baby name websites that I love, if that helps anyone who is still trying to pick a name: Nymbler, Baby Name Voyager, the name section at BabyCenter and Babynames.com.(5) What do you wish you had known before going into pregnancy that you didn't know? How hard it would be! I mean it's a beautiful thing, don't get me wrong (clearly it must not be that bad, I'm at it again!) But it's hard work! It takes a toll on your body and makes you this person that you weren't before. I get SO emotional when I'm pregnant! I cry at EVERY THING!
(6) Did you or are you planning on taking an infant CPR/first aid class? I'm CPR/First aid certified through my work, it's required. DH isn't though, it wouldn't be a bad idea for him...
(7) Do you have any favorite online resources for pregnancy/baby related info?Kellymom.com has been a LIFE saver for me! it's an amazing resource for BFing mom's and it's helped with the issues that we've had and it's given me tons of ideas. (8) Are there any questions that you'd like to see here in the future?TTCers: Which cycle are you on? Where in the cycle are you? What, if anything, are you doing to have success TTCing? Mamas: Where does baby sleep and how did you manage to transition to a different sleeping arrangement if it's changed? We co-sleep from about 1 month-6 months. I was SO exhausted and didn't have the energy to get up and feed her every 2 hours and then get her to go to sleep in her bassinet or crib so I kept her in bed with us because she would go right back to sleep there. It wasn't something I initially wanted to do. Once DH really wanted to move her to her crib, I put my foot down and said no. I actually ended up enjoying her sleeping with me! Finally one night she kept kicking me in my side and latching on all the time! It was like she was at the all night buffet! So needless to say, it was now interupting my sleep so I decided it was time. It was a process. We took her mattress out of the crib and I slept on the floor next to her, that lasted about 3 days. Then she came back to our bed for a couple of nights. Then we tried again, only this time with her mattress in her crib. I'd get up, change her, feed her and put her back, if she fussed DH had to get up. He got up a couple of times but overall, I think SHE was ready... In the end, SHE made the choice
It would have been smart to buy maternity clothes that could also be nursing clothes after the birth.(6) Did you or are you planning on taking an infant CPR/first aid class?
We took one. It was through the Red Cross. It was WORTHLESS. My friend took one thru her hospital and said it was very good.(7) Do you have any favorite online resources for pregnancy/baby related info?
Love Kellymom.com. See above for site on solids. For baby gear... Babysteals.com, btrendie.com, greenbabybargains.com, mamabargains.com, kids.woot.com, babyhalfoff.com, kidsteals.com, zulily.comMamas: Where does baby sleep and how did you manage to transition to a different sleeping arrangement if it's changed?Alexa sleeps in her crib, in a sleep sack, on her tummy with her hands curled under her chest and her butt in the air. We have a video monitor on her. She has been sleeping in her crib since she was 2-3 months old. We have breathable bumpers and a bunch of pacificers in there. We put her down and she crawls around, sits up, plays with her paci and eventually goes to sleep. Or just passes out cold as soon as we put her down. We just put her in the crib cold turkey. Before, she was in a bassinet next to our bed.

(1) What week are you in/how old is your LO? 25 weeks, 3 days.....wow, where did the time go?!
(2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share? Sooooo tired, but otherwise good! Not BR, but I had my spring chorus concert this week (actually the last performance is tomorrow night). It's so taxing to have stressful weeks at work while pregnant. I'm always tired concert week, but this is like double tired.
On a more fun note, this little boy has been kicking like a mad man lately. It's kind of fun to feel him more often, but sometimes it hurts!
(3) Next appointment date? Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up? Nothing for a few weeks.
(4) What is one BR thing that you learned this week? Like I said, kicking can sometimes hurt!
(5) What do you wish you had known before going into pregnancy that you didn't know? I wish I knew just how emotional I'd be. Yeah, you hear that pregnancy makes you emotional, but this is ridiculous! I cry (or want to) at the drop of a hat. Then I'm fine 10 minutes later.
(6) Did you or are you planning on taking an infant CPR/first aid class? Yes, I actually just signed up. We signed up for our childbirth class at the hospital, and I also signed up for Infant Safety and CPR. MH can't make it for the safety class as he works that night, but also with him being a doc, I think I need it more!
(7) Do you have any favorite online resources for pregnancy/baby related info? Not too many (I generally prefer books), but I do like the iPregnancy app for iPhone! You know it's funny, but I swear I haven't been that weepy or anything. Don't get me wrong, I have been emotional, but there has always been what I would consider a reasonable trigger (for example, I'll get really frustrated about something and then cry - and I'll admit I'm not normally a crier - but I don't cry for no reason, and it doesn't come on really suddenly). It kind of surprised me because I expected to just be a big bundle of emotions based on the stories everyone else tells! Maybe I'm just a hardass lol.
(1) What week are you in/how old is your LO?
9 weeks tomorrow
(2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share?
Feeling like a normal person again now that I'm able to put her down for naps in her bouncer the last couple days. I'm actually able to get stuff done! And have some alone time with DH. =P
(3) Next appointment date? Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up?
Kaya had her 2 month check up today. She is now 11 lbs 1 oz and 22 3/4 inches! I knew she had grown but wow. She was 8 lbs 12 oz at her one month appt! She also had shots - we worked out an alternative schedule with the pediatrician. She got Hib & Prevnar today and will get her DTaP and Polio next month. We decided to skip the rotavirus vaccine since she won't be going to daycare and that's where most kids contract it.
(4) What is one BR thing that you learned this week?
Nothing this week but one thing I learned since she was born is that you can never have too many burp cloths! This girl spits up a lot so we go through them quickly.
(5) What do you wish you had known before going into pregnancy that you didn't know?
Hmm...the discharge, too, I guess. Otherwise, I think I was pretty well informed.
(6) Did you or are you planning on taking an infant CPR/first aid class?
I'm certified for work but I made DH take a class. He said it was pretty worthless. And they ended up sending the CPR card with my name on it instead of his (because I registered him?)
(7) Do you have any favorite online resources for pregnancy/baby related info?
The Bump, I guess. I just lurk, though. kellymom.com has been helpful for me, too.
(8) Are there any questions that you'd like to see here in the future?
???
Mamas: Where does baby sleep and how did you manage to transition to a different sleeping arrangement if it's changed?
She sleeps in bed with us. I really didn't want her to and it wasn't what we had "planned" but I quickly realized that it was the only way I would get any sleep. I just nurse her to sleep and fall asleep along with her. We started this when she was about 2 weeks old because I was dying for sleep. Hopefully we'll be able to transition her to the PnP and then her crib at some point.
BONUS: PIP of your bump or LO or for TTCers, link to your chart!
Not the sharpest photo but I love her smile! This was taken on Sunday, at exactly 2 months.
HA. I wasn't weepy or more emotional either. In fact, I think I was less emotional! I was definitely more irritable, though!
(2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share?I'm so happy to finally have our baby OUT and in our arms. Labor was long and often hard, but it's all such a blur now. We can't stop staring at our little man... such an amazing feeling! BFing has been going well, nighttimes are hit or miss sleep-wise, and I got out of the house alone today for a little errand. So far, so good!
(3) Next appointment date? Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up?6 weeks for me -- ouch, healing post-delivery is painful! 1 week for Adrian.
(4) What is one BR thing that you learned this week?
(5) What do you wish you had known before going into pregnancy that you didn't know?
That everyone's experience is very different and no matter how much you read or "prepare," you'll have a lot to figure out on your own. I had to learn a lot about going with the flow, not comparing myself to others and having faith in my body and my child so as not to get worried about every little thing.
(6) Did you or are you planning on taking an infant CPR/first aid class?
DH and I were both trained before, but we watched online videos on infant CPR to review. One of our friends had to use it twice with her LO, so we want to be prepared. We also want our parents to watch the videos so they are in the know, too.
(7) Do you have any favorite online resources for pregnancy/baby related info?
I learn a lot from this board!
Mamas: Where does baby sleep and how did you manage to transition to a different sleeping arrangement if it's changed?
So far, Adrian sleeps in a bassinet beside our bed at night. We put him down in his crib in the evening, so he adjusts to it and so DH and I have quiet time. Then we transition him when we go to bed.
I wasn't too emotional during pregnancy, but OMG, I have been so weepy since A was born. I think I'm just so overwhelmed by love for him... just thinking about him makes me teary eyed.
Oh, yeah...I was a wreck the first couple of weeks. It's the crazy PP hormones. It gets better. You sound like you're doing amazing! And I can't believe you're able to put him down and have quiet time with your H. We did for the first time tonight and she's over 2 months old! Lucky you!
(1) What week are you in/how old is your LO?
11 weeks and 3 days old
(2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share?
Libby is "talking" like crazy! She's a great imitator and if you repeat a word or phrase over and over to her she'll mimic it. I swear I heard her say grandma the other day. She's found her hands and they are forever in her mouth now...she's drooling like crazy too and can be cranky lately so we think it may be teething. I just ordered her an amber teething necklace last night and we got a Sophie the Giraffe toy last weekend.
She's 15 lbs 1.5 oz. and 24 inches long and wearing 6-9 clothing now. She's also working on sitting unassisted...she can tripod sit for about 15-20 seconds at a time right now.
(3) Next appointment date? Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up?
She just had her two month appt. last week so the next one is the four month appt.
My dad is coming for a visit later this month which is exciting and she'll be getting her three month portraits while he's here so I've asked for some shots to be taken of them together. Libby and I have our mommy/baby shoot this weekend in the park. I am glad we're able to capture her babyhood on film in this way.
(4) What is one BR thing that you learned this week?
Babies can start teething early.
(5) What do you wish you had known before going into pregnancy that you didn't know?
That no matter how well you take care of yourself you can still get GD. I was delusional about that.
(6) Did you or are you planning on taking an infant CPR/first aid class?
I haven't done it yet, but DH did (as part of his nursing school classes)...I really should get on that...maybe I'll sign my mom up too!
(7) Do you have any favorite online resources for pregnancy/baby related info?
Loved the weekly emails from BabyCenter.com...still get them now that she's here!
(8) Are there any questions that you'd like to see here in the future?
TTCers: Which cycle are you on? Where in the cycle are you? What, if anything, are you doing to have success TTCing?
Mamas: Where does baby sleep and how did you manage to transition to a different sleeping arrangement if it's changed?
Libby sleeps with us...she nurses in the night, especially now that I am at work and she won't take a bottle during the day (she'll take a few oz. of BM in a cup from DH and that's it). So she sleeps between me and the Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper that's attached to my side of the bed (we slipped a foam piece between it and our bed to fill in any gaps). I usually lay down with her aroun 10:30-11:00 p.m. and nurse her to sleep. J comes in around midnight and moves her to the ARCS where she'll sleep until about 2-3 a.m. I pull her into bed with me at that time and nurse her back to sleep until about 4:30-5:00 a.m. when I get up for work. I nurse her for a bit, change her diaper, lay her back down and nurse her back to sleep. Then I get up, shower and get ready for work. I leave around 6:30 a.m. She stays asleep in bed with J until about 8:30-9 a.m. I'd like to be able to move her back into the ARCS at 5 a.m. but so far I am not able to do it without waking her. When I don't have work we all fall back to sleep until about 9 a.m....it's NICE!

Here's Libby's latest look...cramming her hands into her mouth as much as possible!
TTC/PG Blog | Mommy Blog
LOL! This is EXACTLY how Libby has ended up bed-sharing with us. After being so sleep deprived I started sleeping her her room, on a twin bed with her ARCS attached but I could never get her into it without waking her. So I finally put my foot down and moved back into our room and into our bed...bringing her with me...my goal is to move her out once she's night weaned.
TTC/PG Blog | Mommy Blog
I was the exact same way Melissa...my mom or J would come in and I'd be nursing Libby and crying. They always asked what was wrong and I'd say nothing, I'm just so happy!
TTC/PG Blog | Mommy Blog
us too. Sometimes he's happy to go into the cosleeper, but other times he wants nothing to do with being away from me to sleep. He's fine napping in other places, though. Not sure when he's going to transition to the crib - I just know I'm not going to get any sleep, and it's hard to prepare for that.
(1) What week are you in/how old is your LO?Jack is almost 7 weeks
(2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share? I have worked out a pretty good gym/workout schedule, having the alone time and getting exercise is great.
I met with the daycare and b/c of some requirements I might actually have to enroll him by May 1 so I might transition back to work earlier than I thought. I guess he has to be enrolled 45 days prior to the end of the school year under the program guidelines. blah. But I also found out they only go from 8-3:30 so I guess my work days will be cut a little short once I do go back - nothing wrong with that!!
(3) Next appointment date? Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up?Jack goes on Monday for his 2mo appt. From my unofficial measuring I think he will be 24" and about 13lbs. That sounds big but he's kind of skinny looking. I had to move him up to 6-9mo size clothes just because everything was too short. His face is slender compared to the other babies his age that we hang out with - I want some chubby cheeks!!!
(4) What is one BR thing that you learned this week? every mom worries and every baby is different. I already knew that but it's so fun to hang out with other moms and compare stories. my friend is always so worried b/c her baby naps too much, I'm worried because Jack sleeps 7-8hr stretches at night and another mom looked at us like we were absolutely nuts b/c her baby won't sleep at all for longer than 2-3 hours if she's lucky. haha.
(5) What do you wish you had known before going into pregnancy that you didn't know?nothing really surprised me but I am bummed at my pp body. I'm sooo bottom heavy, it's going to be a while before I get back into my old jeans/pants.
(6) Did you or are you planning on taking an infant CPR/first aid class? I took a great one through work (the same program as Jack's daycare). I sent DH to a local one at the hosp and he said it was totally lame. I guess at least one of us is prepared in case of emergency ...
(7) Do you have any favorite online resources for pregnancy/baby related info? kellymom.com for breastfeeding, diaperswappers forums for cloth diapering and drsears and sometimes mothering.com forums (lurk)
Mamas: Where does baby sleep and how did you manage to transition to a different sleeping arrangement if it's changed? He sleeps in the full size arm's reach co sleeper attached to my side of the bed. It's funny, we have no goal of getting him OUT, we have a goal of keeping him in our room for at least six months. We think it's good for him to feel safe and secure near us. Now that he sleeps 6-7 hour stretches it would be very easy to put him in his own room (I wouldn't have to get up and traipse in there) but we like it this way. I don't let him sleep in our bed because there isn't much room, our mattress is very soft, and we sleep with lots of pillows so I would be too nervous to get any sleep myself. He does sometimes nap in our bed, but I'm always there too (like now - on the computer).
Our MB is in the very back of our house, far removed from the nursery and guest rooms but it's quite large so we don't feel crowded in there at all. Jack goes to sleep around 8 or 9 and we stay up and watch TV or hang out for a while so we don't feel like it's inhibiting our relationship in any way. I try to feed/change Jack before we go to bed. If he eats well he will sleep until 5 and usually wakes up happy - I feed him again and then we all hang out in our bed playing or reading books until John gets up for work.
I'm wondering how this schedule might change once I go back to work - I'm thinking he *might* nap better during the day at daycare and will eat less (he currently cluster feeds from wake up until about 11am) so that could really change his sleep and eat habits at home.

he's starting to laugh and it melts my heart
(1) What week are you in/how old is your LO? 12w4d
(2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share? Feeling great! I don't feel as tired compared to the first few weeks. I feel like my appetite has increased though :-/. I am hungry all.the.time! ugh.
I am almost on my 2nd tri!! We got the results for the 1st tri screening and everything's normal! I also got to hear bebe's heartbeat last Tuesday during my 12wk appointment.
We are on the waitlist for 3 day cares. We actually found one that will take us whenever we are ready so child care problem is solved :-).
(3) Next appointment date? Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up? My next big appointment won't be until 20 weeks when we find out the gender. Before that, we'll go on a babymoon!
(4) What is one BR thing that you learned this week? First time I have heard about the charlie horse cramps while pregnant. I woke up the other day with one. Also, I found out that I have sensitive cervix! I had my pap last Tuesday and spotted (doc said it's normal and harmless). Doc said since my cervix is sensitive, i shouldn't be alarmed if i have light spotting after sex (actually, i have found this out for myself even before she told me :-P).
(5) What do you wish you had known before going into pregnancy that you didn't know? I knew that breasts grow big when you're pregnant but I did not realize that your nips get big and dark too! I was reading Belly Laughs by Jenny McCarthy and she described the pg breasts looking like breasts from women of the ubangi tribe! LOL.
(6) Did you or are you planning on taking an infant CPR/first aid class? I have not looked into these yet but yes, we're planning to take one.
(7) Do you have any favorite online resources for pregnancy/baby related info? I just google away when I need to research something. I go to different websites. I do like lurking on the different board and read about different people's experiences.
(1) What week are you in/how old is your LO?
Don't normally do these check in things anymore, but had to because my babe is 11 months! Holy toledo!
(2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share?
Also had to share because my babe is walking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course, she's only taken a few steps unassisted (maybe 4 steps on 3-4 different occasions), but OMG this is huge. And, of course, she walks constantly with her little walker thing.
(3) Next appointment date? Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up?
Next appointment is in a month when she turns a year. (tear)
(4) What is one BR thing that you learned this week?
Um. . . I am constantly learning things. Let's see... gorsh I can't think of anything right now.
(5) What do you wish you had known before going into pregnancy that you didn't know?
Honestly, after labor + delivery, I was HORRIFIED by what my body could do. Yeah, the whole "I just gave birth to a living human being" was amazing, but the whole fluids coming out of places (and lots of fluid... and blood) that they are just NOT supposed to really horrified me. Also that your boobs might start to leak before you give birth.
(6) Did you or are you planning on taking an infant CPR/first aid class?
Yeah we did. I should probably take a refresher course though...
(7) Do you have any favorite online resources for pregnancy/baby related info?

I lurk on the bump. Rarely post though, the girls there are terrifying
Baby slept in a bassinet the first month of her life. . . then a pnp ... then her crib next to our bed. Figured it would be easy to just move the crib into her room b/c she was STTN since two months. Apparently I spoke too soon and once she hit 9ish months she was up throughout the night ... not hungry or anything... just up & fussy. So now she goes to sleep in her crib and when she wakes up at 2am or so, she comes into bed with us. Bad habit, but momma's gotta sleep too!

I'm just starting to do this, in fact, last night was the first time ever, I think. But it used to be IMPOSSIBLE. She would just scream as soon as I put her down. Now, she'll fuss, but I think she's getting used to falling asleep on her own. I was even able to put her down for a nap today. Yay!
my thoughts exactly when i was reading through this post....but i agree w/christine that sometimes it's hard when they are itty bitty...as they get older it's definitely something you want to foster though
(1) What week are you in/how old is your LO?
she's just over 5 months old now
(2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share?
she's getting better at sitting and can sit unassisted for about a minute now... and she can stand against the sofa cushion and balance herself for about a minute too
she isn't crawling yet but what i have seen her do during tummy time is she will use her front half and pivot around and move her body to the left or right.
big thing this week - we got her to drink milk from a cup
w/her not liking the bottle so much, i think we're going to just transition over to the cup completely and stop bottle feeding. i think it'll be less stressful for all of us. it was so cool to see her doing this, they really do "lap" up the milk like a kitten
(3) Next appointment date? Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up?
6 months - shots
(4) What is one BR thing that you learned this week?
don't attempt cup feeding when baby is really really hungry. i guess i should have known that but she just screamed. when we fed her just as she was starting to get hungry, she did great.
(5) What do you wish you had known before going into pregnancy that you didn't know?
nothing really. there were things i didn't know that kind of surprised me but nothing i couldn't deal with or adjust to. if i really knew how uncomfortable you get towards the end or how painful labor really is, i may not have wanted to get PG in the first place
(6) Did you or are you planning on taking an infant CPR/first aid class?
i did a long time ago and DH already had to for work.
(7) Do you have any favorite online resources for pregnancy/baby related info?
kellymom.com was so helpful with BFing issues
i liked the weekly emails from babycenter.com too
otherwise, i just ask you ladies
(8) Are there any questions that you'd like to see here in the future?
TTCers: Which cycle are you on? Where in the cycle are you? What, if anything, are you doing to have success TTCing?
Mamas: Where does baby sleep and how did you manage to transition to a different sleeping arrangement if it's changed?
no transitioning here...she slept in her crib from the first night she came home from the hospital. the nursery is right next to our room so it was nearly the same as putting the crib on the other side of our bedroom
i agree that it's good to get them used to falling asleep on their own. i didn't know that babies don't "know" how to fall asleep and need to learn this skill.... sometimes she is great about it and sometimes she will fight it and fuss...and then there are times when she flat out refuses and i have to her rock her...but overall she is good...and generally at bedtime she does great b/c she is already so tired.
BONUS: PIP of your bump or LO or for TTCers, link to your chart!lots of pics up on FB that i just added this week

Absolutely, something for an older baby! I would say around 3 months is a good time to start trying this. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't but it is a great skill to help them learn! :-)

Yay! Libby doesn't cry anymore when she gets her "cup milk"...J has learned not to wait until she's ravenous either! She's too cute taking the cup!

You may want to make sure your iron levels are OK - I got HORRIBLE charlie horse cramps (like waking me up crying bad), and although some people are just prone to them, it turned out that I had pregnancy induced anemia which was probably making them hurt even worse. (I've never been anemic in my life, but these kids have taken a toll on me!)
And I cracked up laughing when I read your comment about the nips - yep! I think it took DH by surprise as well...I distinctly remember one day after I got out of the shower, he was staring at my chest and finally said, "You know...those.......are darker. It's not bad or anything, I just didn't know it was going to happen!" Yup, the wonderful things that pregnancy does to our bodies.
My bellybutton has gone dark brown too, which is REALLY weird looking. It's like a bullseye in the middle of my stomach!
