Hi! Moving to BR.
Hi ladies! I just wanted to hop in and introduce myself as my husband and I will be moving to Baton Rouge in June and we know NO ONE!
We are moving from Raleigh, NC because DH is graduating from vet school and will be doing an equine internship at LSU. We're excited but I'm beginning to get a bit worried about the job hunt.
Anyway, I'm into cooking (eating!), exercising, reading and hanging with our dogs, and I hope it's cool if I hang here some to get to know a few people before me move cold turkey!

If you like to eat, you'll like living down here. There are TONS of fantastic restaurants, and a lot of us like to cook (and eat!) on this board as well!
The board has been pretty slow in the last few weeks, but a few of the locals have had babies recently and I don't know, maybe some are getting ready for finals? Hopefully it picks up soon!
Thanks! We are def. looking forward to the food. I have been to a crawfish boil here in NC, we loved it but we know the "real thing" will be even better!

By the time you arrive crawfish will probably be out of season, but there are other great dishes to try.
