Libby is swaddled and sleeping peacefully thanks to 1mL of Colic Calm and 30 minutes of jiggling while swaddled on her side to the hair dryer blowing full blast. Ugh. My arms are about to fall off. I don't know what happened!
She had a great day at home with J while I was at work today...she took her cup of milk TWICE (a first)...2 oz. each time...played and even napped for 2 hours in her crib (also a first).
Then I get home and she starts to fuss so I nurse her and she fusses more (to make matter worse my bewbies were sore and full since I didn't come home at lunch to nurse her and I couldn't pump because of a lunchtime meeting that went long...)...I finally get her to calm down and she nurses and falls asleep. Then she's up around 5:00 p.m. and happy as a clam...we nurse some more and I take her with me to run a 5 minute errand to pick up her amber teething necklace (turns out that the Etsy seller I bought it from literally lives down the street from me)!
We get home, I put the necklace on her and rub her gums...we play...we read...we get ready for bed...she FREAKS OUT!
But now...finally...she's asleep. And I am pooped! I've been up since 4:30a.m. and had a full day of work and came home and have been with Libby ever since (J and my mom both had to work tonight). At one point she's wailing at the top of her lungs and all four dogs are howling because of it. Funny now. But not at the time. Although it did get her attention and she stopped crying for about 30 sec.
Whew! Had to let all this out. Now...time for me to nurse my glass of Pinot Noir. ![]()
Re: BR: After 90 minutes of straight hysterical crying...
Been there - it's SO HARD! It's like nothing you do helps and you're so sore from carrying her around.
I hope you got some rest last night.
Hang in there!
i don't know what it is but i find there are just some days where you can't figure out what's wrong and nothing consoles them..it just takes time and patience..and it's SO HARD.
anyway, i thought it was funny the first time A was wailing and Star started howling.... i am not sure what it is that causes them to do that, but whenever she wails and won't stop, Star will moan/howl ....i am not sure if they are trying to help, or howling b/c it's so high pitched it hurts their ears or what but the first time it happened it was kind of cute.
