I'm not in the bracket of needing to get a flu shot but now I am wondering if its good to get one if you think you might be KUed this winter? Are pg people in the category of "good to have had flu shot"?
Re: (@): flu shot?
Actually, let me add to this. It SUCKS to have the flu when you're pg. If you're going to be trying/think there's a possibility you might be pg during flu season, get the shot.
I had the flu during my pg (I'm allergic to eggs, so I can't get the shot). Other than Tylenol and Robitussin, there really isn't a whole lot you can do if you get it during pregnancy. It's best just to immunize.
should DH get it too or is that not as necessary as long as I get it??
i can get it at my job (a college) but now I am wondering how secretive about it i should be for fear of co-workers getting suspicious, lol.
You can not get a flu shot until you're out of the first trimester though. But since you're only TTCing at this point, get one.
