anyone?! i'm bored out of my mind!
Re: friday confessions?
To combat today's boredom at the office (which is actually somewhat unusual for a Friday), I am researching summer vacation destinations. I'm feeling oddly unexcited about the places BF seems to want to go the most, so I'm trying to come up with other options. Why don't I want to go on a cruise??

I don't know! The latest cruise commercials have me wanting to go on one sooooo bad.
Somewhere in the big blue ocean ... you'll get your first water wedgie!
I just send out a job application...from my work fax.
Deadline was 5pm today, and as I'm in Temple, no way I could get it there (Austin) in person. I stalked the fax for my confirmation sheet, and no one saw, I don't think.

After hearing from someone who worked in a kitchen on a cruise, my brain doesn't want to go. I still may venture it one day, but only if I can completely forget what my professor told us!

Water wedgies! THAT'S why I don't want to go on a cruise.

lol. water wedgies.
i have no desire to go on a cruise. our friends asked us to go with them in july. we're considering it but i'm leaning heavily toward no. there are way better vacations
Oh no!
I can only imagine.
I'm about to search the food network for vacation ideas. ha ha!

Gah, I don't want to know. I just got back from a cruise, and it was not a particularly good experience. I'll never go on one again - give me a resort and a beach any day of the week.
I have done little today beyond refreshing my tracking information on Amazon.com to see if my new Crumpler 6 million dollar home camera bag has arrived. I can barely stand it. I'm so excited to get home and load it up!
congrats!
1) because you wouldn't enjoy being the only non-senior citizen. we were chatting with an older couple (I'd guess mid-seventies/eighties?), mentioned that we were going to vietnam. the man asked if my H was a vet. he's 33.
2) because you like rooms that are bigger than a closet (although ours wasn't that bad, but still).
3) because it sucks paying for every.extra.damn.thing. want to take a spin class? oh, that will be an extra $60 for 6 classes. want to rock climb? please sign over your first born.
4) because the days at sea absolutely BLOW. we were so bored we were playing bingo. yep, you read that correctly.
Fortunately when we went it was with a huge group of friends, that made it a lot of fun for the meals and expeditions.
-DH and I like to stay busy when we travel. As in, we bought bikes on our honeymoon so we could ride around town everyday.
Cruise ships are condusive to bad shows and gambling when you're at sea, which is practically half of the trip.
-The "nice" meal night was during a bad storm and half the people were sick.
-I felt like a weird tourist at port. All of us whities walking around impoverished Jamaica saying "ya, mon" was just really offensive.
My confession: I am so bitchy today. I just pat DH on the knee and tell him "its' not really your fault" after I yell at him.
I do this same exact thing. Most of my mom's aunts and uncles smoke but they're like 80+. I figure when you're that old do what you want.
BF left on tour so I have the house to myself for this weekend, and every other weekend for the rest of the summer.
My confession? I just ordered pizza via the internet so I didn't have to leave the house OR talk to anybody.
Oh, and my other confession:
I WORKED on a cruise ship for 2 years.
