Places to take Teen Girls in NYC if it rains!

My 11, 13, and 15 year old cousins are visiting me this weekend and I was planning on shopping at Canal Street, hitting up Chinatown and Little Italy.  (I live in Washington Heights so Brooklyn, etc. is a bit far)

BUT it might rain all Saturday so I need a back-up plan that is not the main museums (Met, Nat History, etc.) because they have done all those.

Thanks in advance! :)

  • I think Madame Toussad's wax museum would be fun for teens -  I think they have a lot of the pop stars teens like (Miley Cyrus, Jonas brothers, etc)

  • To add to Mrs.Kocal's post, also "Ripley's Believe it or Not" is right next door to Madame Tussaud's...just another idea.

  • Ooo, followed by lunch/dinner at Dave & Busters?  (also right next door)

  • Yeah...I may have over 4000 credits to Dave and Busters... LOL

That is a good idea... any other indoor shopping areas?

    Thanks! :)

  • Those are all really good ideas, but I found Madame Toussade's expensive (but I will be going to touch the Rpatz wax figure inappropriately), and my husband never lets me go into any Ripley's museum cause he says it's a waste, which obviously most of the stuff is made up but hey it's fun, Dave and Busters isn't bad, and would be fun for teens I'm sure.

I don't have any better ideas, but just throwing in my 2 cents.

Saks is always fun to walk around,  FAO Schwartz, Toy's R Us in times square was a blast...hmmm I'm not a big shopper so thats all I got....

  • If anyone is into American Girl Dolls that place is nuts, I would have love to have a place like as a kid....and is right next to saks.
  • Madame Toussad's is expenisve BUT  check out a few Dunkin Donuts before you go, they usually have coupons!

  • What about FAO Schwarz?  Fun place to eat might be the Jekyll and Hyde Club.  Macy's for shopping because it's so huge.
