punk kids!

BF spent a better part of his Saturday a few weeks ago putting sprinklers in part of our lawn...the rest is still pending. He gets home today to find that some punk kid kicked one of the sprinkler heads and broke it. We're assuming that is what happened. The bus stop is right in front of my house and it was just fine last night.

BF is going to become Clint Eastwood on Gran Torino......lol

**annoyed**

Re: punk kids!

  • Ugh, that sucks--sorry about the damage!!

In my old neighborhood, the kids (ranging in age from 7ish to 10ish) used to ride their bikes through our front yard and leave tire tracks and gouges all over the grass and landscaping.  It REALLY p!ssed off XH, who installed a security camera to catch the little punks.

Luckily, their ringleader moved away before he started hiding in the bushes with the hose or cleaning guns in the driveway.  (<--I wish I was kidding.)

  • LOL at Gran Torino reference!

  • i used to have a bus stop right in front of my house, too, and it was awful.  trash everywhere, broken branches on the bushes.  thank goodness the bus stop apparently moved.

  • We're in that situation also. I feel like an old fart complaining about the kids walking on my yard, but who does that? We're not talking about they're cutting a corner, they have had wrestling matches on my yard.
  • Super Angry

At our last house we were next to a 50' easement. There were boulders blocking it to keep people from driving through, but these kids on a golf cart would cut across our yard to get to it. One day DH grabbed their golf cart and told them "If I ever catch you driving across my yard again [insert parental threat]...".  I thought it was a little harsh, but I never saw them do it again.  It's probably a good thing it happened when it did bc shortly after that they started vandalizing the neighborhood, but they were scared of our house.  ;)

  • ;) could always train the dog to utilize that particular area, and be a little lax on cleaning it...granted it might not make the hubby happy, but the kids will avoid the yard for fear of land mines!
  • Once that system is installed, make sure you set it to go on right at the time they're supposed to be there. ;)
