As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

My dad will be dead a year on Monday...
And in honor of this horrible anniversary I've been having sad/bad dreams.
Last night I dreampt that he didn't really die last April, but recovered after we unplugged the machines - BUT that he died "again" this week and we had to plan a funeral all over again.
I'm going to Chicago to be with my mom and sister this weekend...I don't know how we made it a year without him...but we did.
I know he'd be so proud of what we've done...us girls taking charge and getting things accomplished. I've got a baby on the way, spent 2 months at home with my mom and prepared the house for sale, my sister has taken care of my mom and the house on a daily/weekly basis, my mom got her knees done, and we've got he grandparents house on the market.
What a year...

These "anniversaries" are so hard. I hate that you have to go through this and I wish I could give you great big hugs because I understand how hard it is. Nothing can take that kind of pain away. I will be thinking of you on Monday.
Anniversaries do suck. It will be good to be with your family. It's hard, but remember what you said here, your memories with him, and his love.
Hug, hug, so many hugs. I had two friends go through their one year date of losing a parent a little while ago. You can do it.
