***LORE***

So, I was the closest on guessing Evan's birth and you were about 45 minutes off on Sadie's birth...WEIRD!!

Hope everything is going well with the move!!

Re: ***LORE***

  • That's so funny! We're good guessers, LOL

How are you doing, how's motherhood treating you? (maybe that's in your previous post, I'll check)

Sadie is beautiful! I love the new siggy pic!

  • Everything is going great!  I posted a little below, but not too much.  Motherhood is an adjustment.  I am trying to learn what works and doesn't work and what helps Sadie sleep and everything.

I learned last night that she really does like to be swaddled...when she was swaddled she slept good, and when she wasn't she would fuss and wake up more frequently.

How's everything with you and Evan and the move and everything else?!?!

  • Well, it's getting either easier or more complicated, depending on how you see it!

My IL were coming to see Evan before the move (next weekend) but FIL had eye surgery so he can't travel. So instead Evan and I are flying there for the weekend, DH is staying to wait for the movers (and I'll hope he won't forget anything). Then he'll drive to San Diego and we'll drive from there to WA.

It's kind of more of a mess. I won't be able to supervise the move and packing, but I won't have to do any cleaning (good!), though it means DH's coworkers will see exactly what a crappy housewife I've been (not too great)

But Evan is doing great! He seems to have a permanent cold (I have to clear his nose every day), but he's a happy, easy boy!

Swaddling is great, it works like a charm for Evan as well. That and the binky, works great for us.

    Are you BFing?

  • WOW!  That is a little more complicated than it needs to be, but I am SURE DH will do a great job!! No worries!

Yes, I am BFing...I started using a nipple shield, because my nipples were super tiny, and Sadie couldn't latch, so that helped, but now she has weened herself off of it, so she's just on my nipple and it is painful like I am just starting to BF!!  I wanna cry every time I feed her. It's CRAZY!

So, why do you think Evan has a permanent cold?  do you think it could be allergies? Hope the little guy feels better...if he is feeling yucky at all.  Oh, and yes, the paci works great for us too...Sadie's sucking reflex is in FULL swing and unless she falls asleep on the boob, she needs a paci to go to sleep!

Well, I hope your trip goes well and the move is a success!  No stressing!
