Newlywed Louisianians new to Dallas and to the board!
My husband and I just moved to the area in January from South Louisiana (Baton Rouge) and LOVE it here so far! I'm so glad I found this board because I know it will be helpful when those random questions come up/
Just by browsing a few messages below I already got some great tips/info.... like where to get decent crawfish!

Seriously though, I've only tried it at 2 places here: Pappadeaux's and Half Shells/Fish City Grill (a chain that runs under both names). Pappadeaux's was terrible and the seasonings were so off I could barely eat them. Half Shells had the right taste to them, but they were bland. Most of the people here can't seem to get the meat tasty. Oh yea, and I paid $8.99 for 1 whopping pound at Half Shells.

P.S. We haven't actually tried to find decent crawfish at a restaurant here yet but we've gotten a variety of tips from several people.
When we do, I'll be sure to add my two cents to the board.
