My husband is going into work so I am going to try to get a lot of stuff done today. I hope the weather will be nice.
Re: Is everyone off today?
Maybe he will decide you guys can go home early???? How is the crib coming along?
I'm really hoping that I can make this a productive day.
I hope, but I doubt it haha. The crib is not coming at all still. I have been told it will be done a month before my due date. I would really prefer it done two months before so that we can then set up the rest of the room and have it completely done by a month before, but whatever. I just wish he hadn't volunteered to make something if it was going to be such a burden. (All I hear about is how he doesn't have time. I didn't ask him to make it!)
We're both off and heading to the Marathon as soon as DH finishes showering (he overslept!). We could watch it nearby in our neighborhood, but I think we'll head down to Heartbreak Hill.
Ha! I feel your pain. Only in my case it's my husband who volunteered to make something AND he's making the storage unit/dresser. I wish he was just making the crib. We have the crib but we have no where to put any of the other stuff so it's currently in a huge pile on our dining table and the floor in the dining room. I keep saying that we have the dresser from his parents house that we can use but he is determined to make it himself.
Yes, you have my poor mother's life. Among many other things, she has a super nice painting she bought 10 years ago that is still waiting for a frame. But god forbid she bought one, he would kill her! I have started just not telling him when we buy things that he could make, but he still finds out about some of it. He was not happy about the nightstand and bookcase from IKEA, but I would NEVER have gotten those and a crib out of him hahaha.
I'm at work too. It never occurred to me to check for changes in the public transportation schedule due to the holiday so I didn't know the bus was running on a Saturday schedule. So, I end up getting on a bus 40 mins. later than the one I wanted...only to find out once on the bus that apparently on Saturdays that bus doesn't go downtown, it just does a local loop...argh!
Luckily I discovered this just as we were getting to the commuter rail stop and a train came by not too long after. What a way to start the week, though.
