Confused, but happy.
So, I really wanted a tattoo today, husband says no. We're at the mall, and I have a gift card for VS I haven't used yet. I normally don't get anything there, so I didn't know what to get, M says "get some makeup" I say "I would, but 1 I don't wear makeup, 2 I don't wear it because I don't know how to put it on and stuff", he says "Okay, then learn if you really want to, who can show you to do it", I mention, "I don't know, maybe one of those counters in one of those stores, like Macy's or something". So, we leave VS and walk down the mall, into Macy's. He tells me to show him where they "show the makeup", here they are downstairs. The first counter we see coming down the escalator is the MAC counter (though I didn't know it was that until after), he sees the counter as we're coming down and says "THAT one, that's where we're going, to the chick with pink hair". We get to the counter and get the usual "May I help you" so I shyly say that I don't really wear makeup because I don't know how to put it on/what to buy, etc. and say I would like to be shown how. She informs us there's a $50 minimum purchase for makeup application. I say nothing, M looks at her and says "I can guarantee you I will be buying your products before we leave. So, to shorten this story up, she shows me the whole nine yards, hooks me up with an "everyday" look, then asks what of the products/colors she used would I like. Now, M knows me well, I cannot make my mind up for the life of me. Suddenly I hear from across the counter, the pink haired chick say in a quiet tone "All of it! She looks hot". M asks me if I want to buy it all, I say "I don't know, this is MAC, that stuff is pricey" he says he doesn't care, I'm worth it. Anyway, he ended up buying me the whole kitten kaboodle (makeup, brushes, and a makeup bag so I could be "official"). Just under $400 worth of stuff I think. I almost choked on my own spit. Anyway, I say "but I could get my tattoo and then some with that" he says "no, you're not getting a tattoo right now". So I chose the makeup, I can honestly say that this is an instance where I should have never said never because I never thought I would be the type to actually get into and dig makeup, but now that I know how to use it/put it on properly and have pretty colors and stuff, I like it!
Anyway, I'm just confused because I don't get how he fought with me about getting a tattoo, but had no issue forking out $400 for makeup. Don't get me wrong though, I am in no way complaining!

This was exactly it, so he informed me later. Though he did say he thinks I'm beautiful without it.
It took me about 10-15 minutes this morning. They gave me Paint Pot in Painterly (a prep as she called it to help the shadow stay on better), eye shadow in the following colors: Naked Lunch (for all over), Wedge (for my brows), Mythology (for my lids), and Sketch (for the outer corners). I have one for my brows because I have very thin ones, it's just to make them appear thicker, it actually works too, lip liner in Pink Treat, lip gloss since I didn't want lip stick in Viva Glam V though I don't know how I feel about the color (everyone else thinks it looks "hot"), for foundation she gave me Mineralize Satinfinish #NW20, Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light Medium, Powder Blush in Blushbaby, Eye Kohl (liner) in Prunella, and Splashproof Lash. Then I got 4 brushes, 1 for my brows, 2 for my eyes and 1 big one for my blush and powder finish.
I HEART MAC!!!
Nakid Lunch is my favorite eyeshadow to wear just buy itself with some mascara or a little eyeliner!
Also I dont know if they told you, but save your empties up, as you use the makeup dont throw away the bottles or tubes, I think once you have 6 saved up you can trade in the empties for a new eyeshadow or lipstick!!!!
I want $400 worth of new MAC stuff! Lucky
Yea, she told me, but she told me for every empty I bring in to recycle I get a lipstick of my choice.
Hrmmmmmm I will have to look into it, or maybe its different by state, because out here its 5 or 6 empties... and if thats the case, Im gonna be sending my empties to you to "launder" my MAC in! LOL
