I took two more tests this morning...

I took a blue dye one, which I got another line out of. It was faint, but still a line and it was definitely darker than yesterday. I took a first response test and it was a faint faint pink line. I'm going to head to Target this afternoon and get a digital. I have a carpet cleaner coming over this morning, so as soon as he's gone, I'll head out and buy some tests and update you all this afternoon. I'm still in shock, even though I've now had three tests with faint lines. That's good right??

Re: I took two more tests this morning...

  • There is no way 3 different tests have given you a line, no matter how faint, by mistake. Congrats! I would say you are gonna be a mommy!!!

My head is telling me this, but I am just in complete shock. I can't believe it happened this fast. I've been going between excitement, extreme worry, and disbelief since yesterday.

  • Once you see the digital you will feel much better about it. Its because the lines on the tests you have taken arent super bright that makes it hard to believe.
  • I'm going to say quit buying tests and make an appt w/your doc when he wants to see you! Congrats!
  • for me, the shock, excitement and disbelief never wore off...and i have a 6 week old now!  LOL

    i'm so excited for you!

  • Aaaahhahahah!!  Yay!  You are going to be a mommy!  I wouldn't waste my time on more tests if I were you...I would make an appointment with my OB.  You are PREGNANT!

I got a very strong line with my BFP, and then I took two digitals...one that night and one the next morning before my doctors appointment.  Both digitals gave me no answer...an "error".  It was a waste of $20, but I am still pregnant. :)

ETA:  BTW, the shock still hasn't worn off for me either...14 weeks later.

Should I make an appointment for now? Wait? What happens at the first appointment?

    This.

and happy dance!! Congrats on your lines however faint they might be they are there!

  • I think I've heard the first appt is just bloodwork but I'm not a mom or PG so someone else will be able to give you better details.

CONGRATS!  How long have you been TTC?  Are you charting?

It depends on what your doctor's office usually does.  Mine scheduled me for the very next day, but all they did was a urine test, I talked with the lady about my insurance, did a family history, etc.  They scheduled my first appointment/ultrasound to date the pregnancy since I was not aware of when I ovulated.

Some offices don't even see patients for their first appointment until 10 or 12 weeks.  They will let you know what their usual is when you call though. :)

Thanks! This was our first month trying. It's so crazy! I've been charting with CM, but haven't been charting my temps or anything like that. I just knew I was going to O around a Friday, so we got busy on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday before Andrew went back to work out of town. So crazy.

I knew it hadn't been long but I didn't realize it was your FIRST cycle.  That's awesome.
