bird watching

So Im not a bird watcher by any means, but right in front of the window where I do my office work here at home is a bush, and in that bush is a cardinal nest with a beautiful mom and dad cardinal... I can't help but to watch them! I cant wait to see if little birdie babies are born!

Re: bird watching

  • Me neither, but last summer we moved to a much less densely populated area and I have seen all kinds of birds. They are pretty. I saw a cardinal a few days ago.....first time I have seen one in years. I see all kinds of Blue Herron(sp?) around here, though. I think they are really neat.
  • That is so neat!  I love cardinals, they are so pretty!

  • I am not a bird watcher either, but if I see them close to our house or window I just watch them for few seconds, they are beautiful.

Last year, a Robin was building a nest on our barn door, so Dh built a small ledge and transferred the nest.  It was so cute to watch the little babies grow and then fly away.  We just noticed over the weekend another Robin, or the same one, is building a nest on that same ledge.  So we will watch these babies grow and leave the nest too.

  • My neighbor has TONS of birds in his yard and I love to watch them.  So pretty!

  • That is awesome!  I love cardinals.

DH works for the Audubon Society, so he is obsessed with birds.  It's starting to rub off on me, but most of the time I can only identify a few of them.  They are really cute.

  • Cardinals are so pretty.  My MIL just gave me this weird looking hummingbird feeder and even though I don't love the way it looks, I want to put it up so I can attract some hummingbirds.

  • We live in the city, and still have seen tons of birds this spring- more than usual- mainly chickadees, but some cardinals too. They- um- have also been "getting busy" in our Japanese maple out front and even right on the porch railing- I guess that means spring is definitely in the air!
