Is this okay to still go to my appointment?

This might be a dumb question...

I have my annual Pap and checkup early next week.  I think I may (noticed this morning) have a small yeast infection. My question is...is it okay to go to my appointment when I have a yeast infection? Well my doc still be able to do the tests?  I can take an over the counter medicine but I'm afraid that it might not be out of my system by the time my appointment comes and I know if I still have it by the appointment she'll be able to just give me a quick over the counter pill that will make it go away a lot quicker without the mess.

What should I do?.....

Re: Is this okay to still go to my appointment?

  • I think you can still go to your appointment. if you do have a YI you can get that confirmed and treated and if you dont you can still have your pap. hope all goes well

good call, thanks I don't know why I didn't think of the obvious :X

  • you can still go.  They'll do a culture while you're there.  orrr just treat you
  • i would not take the over the counter, and call the dr's office and ask them to call in a prescription for you.  stuff that the dr can give you will be MUCH more effective.
  • I had a yeast infection when I went in for my yearly Pap and my doc said he couldn't run the tests because they would come back inconclusive and would just have to redo them when I didn't have the infection. But call your doc JIC.

Unrelated to this post and your comment, but your baby is adorable. I honestly don't know if I want kids but your son's so cute it could be enough to change my mind (I hope I don't come off as creepy by telling you that, lol)
