I was laid off today
Yes, you read that right. As much as I am calming down, I still am having trouble comprehending it. I have been unhappy at my job for quite a while now, but I never thought this would happen. I never thought I'd be one of the first to go do to "a reduction in workforce." To say it sucks doesn't begin to touch it. Maybe it hurts more then it sucks, I'm not sure at this point.
I have interviewed three times for another job, and will now pray that I get an offer. I will be making phone calls this weekend trying to line up some more parties. I refuse to let me kill my spirit, and believe that I will come out of this stronger and better then I was four hours ago.
If you can all find a little job dust to send my way I'd greatly appreciate it. If you know of anyone that might be interested in a Slumber Party please send them my way - I have lots of availability now.

I have a friend who was let go under similar circumstances, and now two years later she says that she's so glad, because it forced her to move on from a place where she was really unhappy. Best of luck to you!
