Wii Fitness Recs

Hey Ladies!

As soon as I am cleared to return to normal activities following my ankle surgery, I want to get back into working out again. We have a Wii and I want to get a Wii Fit soon.  I've been looking into some of the reviews for some of the fitness games and was wondering if I could get some recommendations on which ones are worth buying and give you a good work out?

EA Active, My Fitness Coach, Golds Gym Cardio or Biggest Loser?

Could you comment on any of the ones you have used and what is worth buying and what isnt?   I hate to buy something that isnt going to give me a good work out or be worth the money.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Wii Fitness Recs

  • I have My FItness Coach for the Wii and PS2 and I really like it! I think it gives you a good workout and it changes every time so its not like a DVD where you do the same exact thing every workout. The only thing is once in a while I feel like it gets in a "rut". One workout it made me do 250 cruches. Other than that, its fun and a much better workout than Wii Fit.

  • I have a Wii Fit and it's okay, but I got bored with it after awhile because it's kind of repetitive.  Also, you have to pick everything you do there are no set routines, etc.

  • The EA Active has terrible reviews. The bands are cheap and break easily. I have a Wii fit but I got bored with it and hardly use it. My co worker has Biggest Loser and she absolutely LOVES it.
  • We have the EA Active. I actually got it for DH and he does like it, I've tried it a few times and it gives you a better workout then I thought it would. PP mentioned the bands breaking but we haven't had a problem with it and I don't think I would give it a bad review. I have heard good things about the Jillian Michaels Wii workouts. I think its like any workout program though, you'll get out of it what you put into it.
