Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Latest Victim

Looks like I am the latest victim for debit card fraud!!!  Some one stole my debit card number and tried to charge a large sum of money on Sears.com.  And I work for the bank!  I am super mad right now... man, how I wish I could find out who did this!

    True, but because it's a pending transaction and hasn't cleared, they reduce my available balance by that amount.  So I've got less than my "comfort" level of cash in my account.  I can't have them reverse the charges until after they clear... ugh!

    Angry Need me to knuckle up????  Jerk faces!  I know exactly how you feel, so violated and MAD AS HELL.  Happened to us twice...  Hang in there!

  • Can you check the order with sears to see where it was going to be sent or the name on the order? 
    I don't know much about how that works, could you do anything with the person's name even if you knew it?
  • I checked this morning and the order never went through.  It was a pending transaction and never cleared my account- thank goodness!   I still had my card frozen and was issued a new one.   It sure does make you feel violated and angry!

  • That totally sucks!  I'm glad you caught it.  One of the local bars around here had a server who got busted for swiping card numbers and selling them.  A LOT of people were affected before they figured it out.  And, to make things even more fun, there have been lots more identity theft instances from people just raiding mailboxes before residents get home from work around here too.  Desperate times= desperate measures.  So sad though.
