have a good laugh at MH

so I have to share this story b/c it's hilarious... the other day I asked MH to change miss A's diaper for me while I did some laundry downstairs.  I'm in the laundry room and I hear him from upstairs and here is how the conversation goes.....

MH: (in an urgent tone) honey??!! come here!!

me: what is it?

MH: just come here... NOW!! hurry!

me: panicking, running up the stairs

I walk into the nursery and she is just fine, happy as a clam on the changing table....and I'm puzzled.

me: what's the big emergency???

MH: it's a poo emergency. what do I do with all this poo?!?

me: laughing.... are you serious? you rushed me up here for this? just use TWO wipes instead of one. Confused

MH: oh....ok.... thanks.  I just didn't know what to do.

she hadn't pooped all day and so when she finally did there was a lot of it.  so apparently MH had never seen so much poo before and didn't "know" what to do about it Confused it wasn't even like she had a blow out and it was all over her clothes or anything, it was just a lot of poo in the diaper LOL

you don't know how freaked out I was when he was screaming for me from upstairs and acting like it was a real emergency!! luckily it was nothing and I just got a good laugh out of it Stick out tongue just goes to show you why men aren't known for their "mothering" instincts Wink

  • That's cute.  Sometimes DH asks a million questions about "simple" things like holding or burping the baby.  "Is this OK?"  "How about this?"  "Show me again..."  I have to remind myself to be patient -- it really is so sweet when they're perplexed and wanting advice on doing things correctly!

  • Haha. That reminds me of last week when B was changing Kaya and I hear, "Oh god! Help." So I go to her room and she had shot a projectile poop that hit the door across from the changing table and got on the carpet. I couldn't help but laugh.

  • Oh the things I have to look forward to.  Fun times!

I am DYING.  "Shot a projectile poop"!

  • that's funny!  MH still puts tissues up each nostril when changing a poop diaper.  (there's a visual for ya!)

MH calls me a rookie when I do things sometimes b/c he's the one at home all day... it's kinda funny how much he's learned and is comfortable with!

yes, and now that we've started "solids", it's actually starting to smell like adult poop now!  yuck!

  • haha, although i must admit when jack started going from multiple poos per day to one per day (or even one every other day... look out, you might need THREE (or more) wipes for that!) I was totally grossed out and wondered if I really could just toss the whole mess in the diaper pail.

I am STILL waiting for this to happen with Libby.  She poops at least 3 times a day.  I read it is supposed to lessen as they get a little older...no such luck here.
