The post about my job. Nft.
Re: I DD'd
omg. Alicia I am so sorry you are having to go through all of this!!
What?!?!?
Because of something you posted? Or something you said in person? Can they even prove it if it were true?
This is way out of control.
Are you kidding! That's ridiculous.
Yup, the director emailed me to say she talked to her attorney about going after me for slander. I responded back and said I never, ever, even when I first got the job, ever posted where I worked on FB. She accused me of telling "CPS" that I was fired. I said that I didn't tell "CPS". I told some of my friends who happen to work for CPS, and some who do not, about my job situation. This is a huge mess. DH wants me to keep fighting and get unemployment because he thinks they should pay for what they do to me. I just want to enjoy unemployed life and bask in the glow of becoming a mommy. Grrrrrr.....
Haha. Yes I would also like to administer a face thumping. :-)
I love your attitude though and am so happy that you have something so great to focus on. Life is so good!!

Ditto. You can't slander a company by saying you got fired or that it sucks and if they were talking about what you said on facebook, that'd actually be LIBEL (duh, obviously didn't talk to a lawyer then). And you would've had to say some pretty horrible things for that case to ever hold up. Libel and slander are VERY difficult to prove. You would've had to almost make a webpage and talk about them all to do that or say "don't get XXXXX from them" etc. Which you didn't. Don't. back. down.
