Disneyland with Baby

Has anyone taken their little one to Disneyland? Our little one will be 8 weeks when we go. Anyone have advice on things to do there? We have season passes that are going to expire and want to get some use out of them. Thanks!

Re: Disneyland with Baby

  • I took my son when he was 6weeks and 8 weeks and stayed pretty much the whole day and he did just fine. I didn't use it but I know DL has a mother's room I think by carnation, with places to nurse and warm your bottles and diapers and all that fun stuff.

We even took him to tiki room and he loved it.

Def take a baby carrier w/your stroller. And don't forget to stop at main street to get his 1st visit button.

  • We took my son when he was a month old. We didnt stay very long because it was cold, Just got a bite to eat and his 1st Visit pin :) The mother's room is wonderful! They have changing tables, places to nurse, places to eat, everything! And like Kat said, it's near Carnation.

My son turned 1 in December and we just got passes again in February - we've only been a couple times since, but it's alot of fun. The Tiki Roon, Small World, Jungle Cruise are perfect for LOs.

  • I don't have a LO yet but we are avid Disneyland goers and have been manytimes with friends that have had LO's. The girls suggestions above are great. Also think about seeing Crush over in Ca Adventure or doing Monsters Inc. Watching the parades or just watching people. I think we do more people watching than anything else. LOL! I love that one! I'm gonna have to try it! :)
Don't worry about tomorrow. After all, today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. Take each day as it comes...one at a time. Midnight Baking Adventures Blog
  • Ditto the above recs. My LO is 6 months, but I have been taking him regularly since 2 months. There is also a baby center in DCA, by the tortilla factory.
  • The baby center sounds great and I know I'll use it. Thanks everyone for the advice!
  • I must be weird and in the minority, but I cannot imagine taking the babies to Disneyland at the age they're at now.  So many germs, among other reasons.

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

Oh holy moly your girls have fabulous cheeks!!!

I took DS on my birthday this past year because we were both free. He was about 18 months. We did some of the fantasy land rides but for the most part he was in awe of everything going on around him. It was a good day but I don't think I would pay to take him there for another year or two.

  • I took DD at 17 days.  We've been going ever since.  Her first ride was Pirates.  I had her in a ring sling most of the time, but we did have her stroller to hold all the stuff.  We did an all day thing.  You can take baby to the Tiki room, small world, etc.  I'd avoid the Pooh bear ride as it is insanely loud.  We sat and watched shows and parades.  Go check out Aladdin before it leaves this summer.

As for germs, same germs as anywhere else she goes.  I had her in a carrier so she wasn't really exposed to anything out of the ordinary.  I kept hand sanitizer handy.
