ooooh husbands :)

Today DH got off of work early & he's going home to hang out and enjoy a little extra time off. I text him "Since everything is frozen make sure you take something out to defrost for dinner, unless you just want pizza or lasagna."

So what does he choose? Lasagna, of course. :)

I swear... several days a week I stress myself out over what we're going to have for dinner, making sure it's healthy & balanced. He has to pick something for dinner ONE night and chooses frozen lasagna. No wonder married men tend to live longer & be healthier than single men. Left to his own devices my husband would eat cookie crisp cereal & string cheese all day. lol.

Re: ooooh husbands :)

  • They're a mess.  When MIL was staying with us, DH tried to be extra occomodating so I didn't go BSC.  He went to the grocery store one night and asked if I needed anything.  I told him just some veggies for dinners.  I forget exactly what he brought home but it was really strange stuff.  Like a tomato, cucumber and celery.  I just giggled.

Oh and two of our male friends lived together before they got serious with their now long term girl friends.  They literally ordered pizza every.single.night.  Well, unless they had left over pizza from the night before.

  • If DH was on his own, he would eat one massive dinner (we're talking like 3,000 calories) at like 9 pm and then get up at like 3 am and eat some more.  I swear, I don't know how he manages to stay a healthy weight with his eating habits!

I actually remember you telling us about this! lol. So funny.

I remember this too!  I was like, I guess they could make tomato & cucumber salad... lol!

If my DH were alone the kitchen would be bare and he'd eat out for every single meal.  It's not that he doesn't like cooking, he really does, he just likes the entertainment value and ease of dining out.  I like those things too, but I don't like all those extra calories!

  • *blushes*  I am your husbands.  I hate coooking, the prep, the forethought.  Before I met DH, I would often have a bagel for dinner.  he cooks about 80 percent of the time, and when its my turn, its frozen pizza, chicken burgers, or pasta.

HOW DO YOU GUYS DO IT??

  • hahahah, when I met DH- the first time I came to his house, his fridge had beer, cream cheese and leftover takeout pizza.  that's it.  Surprise  needless to say, I do all the grocery shopping and plan out the meals.  We try to only eat out once a week.

I am with her. I have never cooked for us. Christian is good at it and he enjoys it, so I've never really tried that hard Embarrassed
