There's some weird epidemic going among my coworkers where they throw in the word "actually" into EVERY. EFFING. SENTENCE. It's getting to the point when I'm talking to them I start doing it. It's driving me batty. I'm actually going to bang my head against my desk if I hear it one more time.
Vents go below.

Re: Vent thread
I have a BA in Criminal Justice and a MA in Human Development. I am going back to school for accounting and I need to take College Algebra (I took liberal arts math requirement instead).
I tried to register for classes at community college as credits are cheaper for my generals. I couldn't register online as I don't have the pre reqs/placement test. I called and was bounced from registration to admissions. Admissions see no reason why it is not letting me register as I don't have any requirements or tests to take due to prev edu. I get put back to registration and they are useless. Will not help and bounce me to another area. Now I am waiting to hear back from someone that I can indeed just register for the math class. My guess is they will make me come in.

Ooh! I have a good one. Actually (hee hee) two: TN made me "update" my info before I could post this. Grrr!
But the one I meant to post about: I have been helping out this organization interview master teachers for participation in a program where we will place interns with them to learn how to teach. On Monday, the director of the program, who was supposed to meet me at 7:30, was over an hour late. Today, she didn't show up. I woke up at 6 for this, packed my different bags for all the places I had to go and drove 45 minutes downtown. I sat in the lobby and waited for over an hour until some man took pity on me and went to talk to the principal of the school about it. The principal told him she cancelled the meeting last night and NOBODY CALLED ME ABOUT IT. So I turned around and went home. I'm glad to have the extra time this morning, but a wee bit pissed at how I got it.

OOOOO! I would be PIIIIISSSSSED. Nothing is worse than going out of your way for a meeting or errand and not getting the item accomplished. Especially waking up early and dealing with driving downtown.
I would really like to leave work early tomorrow since we will be going OOT and have a 3+ hour drive followed by a 2 1/2 hr. drive the next morning. But we have our dept.'s annual awards meeting until 4:45 and we have already received several emails about being highly encouraged to attend. The winners are a surprise but our sr. manager has said that there are a few people on our team that won and I have a suspicion I may be one of them. So if I'm not, I'll be slightly pissed about the award and being stuck there for 2 hours I could be packing.
And you know that little trick where you blow into a rubber glove to make a balloon? It ends up as a big ball with 5 little bumps on the end. That's basically my feet right now and it is seriously bugging me.

I just called and the nurse had already called in and extended the prescription. So my vent is now a rave for my fabulous doctor's office. Sorry for ruining the vents thread, Mamie.
Low cash flow? That would get annoying.
Actually, I don't have much to vent about today! LOL.
These other vents annoy me just reading them. Boo.
PS-jealous you're going to the Derby! I have wanted to go for years!
Its definitely something you should go to once in your lifetime -- its such a fun event. Working here however puts a slight damper on the event but its still good.
