I need more plants to fill my SFG, lol. Here is what I have so far, what else should I grow (in my list number is the number of squares being occupied, not necc. plants)? I am in zone 5:
2 beefsteak tomatoes
2 roma tomatoes
2 grape tomatoes
3 basil
1 parsley
3 cilantro
1 rosemary
2 shallots
1 chives
2 beans
2 jalapenos
that leaves 12 open squares, yikes. I guess I could do zucchini, that takes up like 9 squares, right?

Re: what else to grow? SFG
cucumbers make my stomach upset.
is it too late to start strawberries?

You may want to do more beans.
what about carrots? or adding flowers like marigolds or nasturiums? swiss chard (you can harvest from spring all the wall thru fall)?
You can use a trellis (or tomato cages) to help the zuc take up less space.
allergic to carrots
I will add some more beans, I wanted to do snap peas but we didn't get started early enough. I'll try the cages for the zukes, thanks!
