What are these "points" TN speaks of??

I noticed on my information section where it has my name and so on and so forth that it has something about "points." Are we able to get something really cool if we build up enough points? Oooo...can I get another bakeware set??

Re: What are these "points" TN speaks of??

  • I can't remember if the post I saw was for posts or points, but Nest Anni posted something on the Buying a Home board about getting a free copy of the mailed out newsletter if you have over a certain amount of posts/points, etc.  Nothing big like a bakeware set.
  • ... and how do the points relate to how many posts?  There doesn't seem to be a correlation of number of posts equals so many points.

  • Man, I didn't even notice the points!
  •  I saw those a few weeks ago and wondered what they were for also.  If anyone finds out please let us know :)
  • In my experience, the points are correlated to the "popularity" of the post and how active the poster is.  If the post becomes starred (over 200 views) then as an OP you receive more points.

I don't know if it's accurate but just what I've noticed.

  • So the points are "our" score in TN's popularity contest? Nice :-p

  • The points under your name are what I consider "lurker" points.  From what I can tell, every time you read a new post, your points go up.

The post count obviously changes your newbie/bronze/whatever badge, but the national boards seem to kind of judge you based on posts and points, from my experience.

LOL Well it's not a bakeware set but I guess if people notice me I'll take that insteadStick out tongue

  • I think the points show how active you are.  Not redeemable for bakeware...Sad
