F/U My Health

ok...so Last week I was refered to my PCP for high blood pressure (140/110) by my gyno. I can't get a new BCP until my blood pressure is under control. I went to my PCP the next day, and they did a urine test, an EKG, a blood test, and then I had a renal ultrasound on my kidneys and bladder on monday. Pretty much, the kidneys help to regulate the blood pressure, so if there was something wrong with them, my blood pressure would be spiking.

History: three summers ago, I was on a 24 hour blood pressure monitor.

Present: my doctor looked back at the results and saw one really high reading, so it was a regulation issue.

Tuesday night, Dh and I went to BIL/SILs, and I started to get some really bad pain in my back, and I asked BIL (who is a nurse) what was there. He told me it was my kidneys and I got really worried.

Wednesday I went back to the doctors, and they pretty much told me I was fine, and the ultra sound came back great.

 ughh who knows.

oh well...at least i'm ok!

Thanks for all of the hugs and vibes this week ladies!

  • I'm glad everything is okay!  It's possible the pain was psychosomatic because you thought you had a problem.  This happens to me.  DH says thats the only reason I get sick, IDK.  The mind is a very powerful thing.

I'm sorry you had to go through that long process of not knowing if something was seriously wrong. I'm very glad that it seems like you're okay now though! <3
