Figured I'd take this out on its own lol
I know, funny huh! I go to Dr. Leibowitz on McLean Ave. Who's your gyn? Do you know what hospital they are affiliated with?
I had a long time gyn in the city but the last two times I was there I was kept waiting an hour & a half then then 2 hours. Eff that! A friend recommended a dr in Bronxville and she turned out to be a complete idiot. Seriously! I had been off my BCPs for a while (wasn't with anyone so what was the point), nurse asked me when my last AF was and all I got out was "well i'm not really sure" when she started yelling at me. Told her to get the hell out of the exam room and send in someone who KNEW how to speak to people.
THEN the dr herself comes in and takes down my history. Yes I have a child, she's 10, no birth complication, no we weren't trying, yes I was on BCPs, yes I took them faithfully. If I wasn't in a gown I would have gotten up and walked out b/c she didn't believe me. Said she'd never had a patient who had that happen. WTF? Ok even I knew as a teen it could happen!
Last year I started with a dr on North Broadway who's affiliated with St. John's. He's ok, not bad. Just not sure if he's exactly who I want to go through the TTC process with.
Do you work in Westchester or the city?
Re: Crissyo
Hi...my gyn is westchester health in mount kisco. I am not sure of the hospital they are affiliated with, to be honest! I had a bad experience at eastchester ob gyn...they put me on birth control ( yaz) that totally messed up my potassium levels... so I switched to this group...there are a # of doctors, and they are all good...I usually go to Dr. Maffei...she is my primary.
I work in westchester...
